Great article. Very truthful. The Tigers as a team and organization far outclass the Twins. We knew it was coming. Twins got embarrassed by a very good pitcher and team.

What the Heck Do the Twins Do with Bailey Ober?
Whitey333 replied to Matthew Taylor's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Great comments all. I think just give him a rest. Team isn't going anywhere year. Bring him back after all star break. Do not send him down. That could make his confidence even less if he has any left. Those death threats I think really touched off a lot of this.- 35 replies

Inaction Has Become the Twins' Identity
Whitey333 replied to Matthew Taylor's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The Twins for the most part in the Falvey Baldelli regime have been very boring playing station to station baseball. The are meh. I don't expect much to change except for possible payroll dump. -
Nice article. Pure dominance by Skubal and Tigers. I didn't expect too much going into the game but it was embarrassing. Lewis has proven he's not the answer. I hope he does well but I'm not counting on it. This franchise isn't nearly lifted in the minors as they led us to believe. All hype and hope these Twins.

Biggest Surprises of the Twins' First Half
Whitey333 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Ɓuxton has been great. He should be named player of the month for June. It's sad that it literally took 10 years, yes 10 long years to see him both play regularly and produce. But the team as a whole is what we thought they were met.- 21 replies

The most logical one for me is Duran. He should bring in a good return. Plus we may not need him should we continue to nosedive. You won't get much for Lewis with his fragile body and his questionable performance. Besides we kept Buxton for 10 years using him part time due to the injuries. He's having a great year now looking like just his second full season in 10 years. I don't think the Twins will make that same mistake with Lewis. I hope not. I just don't see the Twins making any significant moves again this tradeline.

Nice win Twins. Let's somehow take this ² game Windstream into Detroit and take 2 of 3 then go to Miami and take 2 of 3. Wishful thinking I knoŵ.

The Twins have consistently had the highest payroll in the Central division for quite sometime and at last check were 19th out of 30 in team payroll. Not great but not rotten. My contention has been more with how the Front Office allocates those payroll dollars which is awful. Yes the Pohlads could have done more. Yes they are totally checked out in the team in fans. This team does need new ownership and it needs to dump both Baldelli and Falvey. At least to get the stench out of the organization.

Nice win Twins. It's sad when we get all giddy because they got their one win this week. I hope this team can turn it around and go on a prolong win streak. I just don't think they have the makeup to be a serios contender. Injuries? Just a sounding board to make excuses. Losing Lopez hurts no doubt. But he only plays once a week. Lewis is showing not much at all. Keashall looked good but definitely a small sample size. Their pipeline as such sprung major leaks. Their minor leagues isn't nearly as good as the hype. Just look at some of the players we have on the major league team. Many of them are not major leagues. I'm hoping it works out my summer is always Twins.

Very curious about the timing. In the middle of a horrendous display of baseball. I've followed this team for 50 years and they are at about the lowest point I've seen in quite some time. They continue to play uninspiring boring baseball. Falvey and Rocco are a joke and both should be gone. But I understand that they ARE tied at the hip as someone said. It's becoming increasingly obvious that ownership doesn't care one way or the other on how the team is run. Fans? We don't matter. It pains me to say this but us fans need to stay away from Target field until they show us that they actually care about putting an entertaining product on the field.

I'm not surprised to see another Buxton promotion article on TD. After all it's been several days. Buxton is having g a very good year. Without him the Twins would be 3-13 in their last 16 games. Oh that's right they are 3-13 with him playing and he's playing great. This will mark just the second year in his ten years with the Twins that he has played a full season and he's playing great. But he and the Twins earn their negative perceptions. Buxton I am sure will be named the Twins representative for the all star game and he deserves it. Who cares if fans vote him in or not? Does it really matter?

I totally agree. This team needs an overhaul and that includes the manager. Do I think much will happen? No. Twins are stuck in a rut of their own making. They will probably just wait for the injured players to come back and miraculously save the season. Royce Lewis save the season? He has mostly proven he can't hit his way out of a wet paper bag. Lopez is definitely missed. But let's be realistic. He only plays once every 5 days or so. Who's picking up the slack the other 4 days? Matthew's? He's on the injured list but his contributions have been mi small when out there. I could go on and on with injuries. My point is I think the injury issue is way overblown as losing excuse number one. It's time.for change and soon. Standing pat again at the trade deadline and the upcoming off season would be disastrous.

Oh hum! Just another in a series of boring baseball "produced" by our Twins. Good article. It describes what has bothered me most about the Rocco/ Falvey regime. Station to station ball waiting for a honer or a clutch hit from our "stars". Very poor fundamentals. No team speed and just average power. But they can blame it on the injuries. Their farm system isn't nearly as strong as they tell us. Oh well. Another loss perhaps on Sunday. Please at least look like you care and give an effort.

Carson McCusker Should Be On The Roster Right Now
Whitey333 replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Its hard to judge mccuster on such a limited opportunity. One issue is that Rocco will not use a lot of players thr FO sends him. Several times in his tenure Baldelli hasn't used players at all even with games out of hand or the season out of hand. He's even not let guys get their major league debut in when the team is way out of contention and family has flown in to watch his debut and never, ever even get in a game during his stay.- 46 replies

The Twins catching duo of Vasquez and Jeffers is mediocre at best. They apparently are part time catchers as they each catch roughly half the season. My guess is Vas will be allowed to become a free agent

Oh please quit defending Rocco like he's this perfect manager and never makes a mistake. And when he does you just cover it up like it's no big deal. Since he has been here there is no accountability for the many failures of this team. They play very undisciplined baseball. They are listless an̈d don't play sound fundamental baseball. They are terrible at making in game adjustments as th game is going on. They plan They seem to make before the game is etched in stone and he refuses or is incapable of making in game adjustments. His team is generally very boring to watch. Attendance this year is likely to bottom out at about 1.6 million. Well short of the 2 million they keep hoping for.

Sloppy baseball again. It's the new norm. Jeffers a key passed ball on a strikeout that led to two runs. Kiersey,? Not much to say there. And Castro completely screwing up and not knowing how many outs on a double play he messed up. Although it didn't cost the team a run it's indicative of the teams play including many tines players not hustling out ground balls to first. It's a direct reflection on manager Baldelli.

Every year we hear about how great many of our prospects are. Hype, hype, and over hype. Yes a couple have worked out but most of them have been busts. Just like our front office. Very unlikely twins do much at trade deadline to improve the team. It is possible they could dump salary if team is not in contention.

I totally agree with the article. The Twins have and continue to have one of the lèast fundamentally sound teams in Twins history. Rocco is too hell bent on analytics and inflexible and not capable of sound in game management. The great Baldelli after all has led the Twins to miss tge playoffs 3 of the past 4 years.

Week in Review: The Bottom Falls Out
Whitey333 replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
None of us should be surprised by the recent malaise of our Twins. Correa is a bust and whoever in the front office pushed for his signing should be fired. Yes I'm serious. Two big teams didn't sign him because he couldn't pass their physical. A huge red flag! Losing Royce Lewis is not a loss at all. He is injured way too much and has produced not much for the Twins. I've been down on Buxton sin e he began spending more time on the injured list than the field. I am impressed with him this year as he is able for the most part to play. But you just wonder when will the next injury put him out. And what about the great farm system the Twins keep telling us they have? It hasn't been nearly as good as they hype. I hope they get back on track but my level of confidence is not very high.- 31 replies

Couple of thoughts: Rocco should have let SWR throw at least one or two more innings. He's mowing them down with only 53 pitches kn 5 innings. Especially when he complains about having to use his bullpen too much. Also: Correa IS the most over paid and overrated free agent the Twins have signed. He is a "stiff" and a huge disappointment. No clutch in him at all. What a waste of money and roster spot. And I still say Rocco is one of the worst managers the Twins have ever had. The Twins play very poor fundamental baseball. They are listless make way too many mistakes for a major league team. That is a direct reflection of the manager. I am so sick and tired of our players not hustling out groundballs. If you can't run hard to first base 3 or 4 times a day you shouldn't be playing. That's my rant for the day. But I will be watching them still. After all they are the only major league baseball team we have. But Vikings start practice in just a few weeks.
