    If my faulty memory is correct, Bill Smith is no longer with the Twins. I think he has been gone for a decade. Falvey and or Levine did not make the Santana trade, nor the trade for Delmon, nor for Matt Capps. Any mention of players from San Diego is pure speculation

    Collective bargaining by baseball started slightly more than 50 years ago. Free agency a few years after that. The Yankees were sold 50 years ago for 10 million, now they are worth short of 6 billion. Not the 100 times more, but I think George (RIP) and Hal came out far better than the players.

    The end result of the playoffs in 2019 was the pitching of the good pitchers sucked. The Bomba squad was mostly silent. That isn't on the front office when players play good to great in the regular season and fall flat in the playoffs.

    2014. Kohl Stewart was a hot prospect along with Alex Meyer and Berrios, Thorpe, May, and Felix Jorge were well thought of, also Gonsalves, Tonkin, Eades, Fernando Romero, Melotakis and another name that escapes me also had buzz about them. I di believe Graterol was still a signed 16 year old then. Any year you want you can throw out 12 names. A couple will make it.

    How quickly people forget that last year was a short season, How quickly people forget Mazda’s career with the Dodgers. After his first year Maeda was in the bullpen by the end of the year. That is not a solid starter unless the bar is set low.

    Considering that Rosario was let go for nothing and had a better career OPS as a Twin there wouldn't be much pain to let one go in a trade. The thought that a team could trade one above average outfielder for a solid controllable pitcher is the painful part. The Red Sox traded Benintendi for lottery tickets. The last controllable pitcher traded was ______________. Jake Odorizzi?

    The history of pick number 26 would lead me to believe that it is one expensive lottery ticket. Trammel was one. Pick 36 netted Randy Johnson of strikeout fame and Johnny Bench. May whoever they draft have a fate like the previous mentioned picks than past Twins choices of Dan Serafini, Greg Morhart and John Langerhands

    There are people who do not realize the rules changed in 2012 but remember the players drafted in the first round who would sign cheaply

    Dietrich Enns was not better than nothing. Aaron Rozak might be better than nothing. The Twins gave up nothing to get him

    Why? Don't the Twins have enough long relief candidates in the minors?

    Over the next three weeks injuries and standings will determine if there is a market for Cruz. A team like Toronto or Seattle could use him. Cruz would be easily worth it to the team if it were contending for something other than a wild card game. On the other hand, if Cruz can keep up 90% of his current production for 2 more years as a Twin, which cap does he get in Cooperstown?

    Alcala was not in the Twins minor league system that long. 1 full season, 1 month of another season. The trouble with Alcala is consistency. There is no trade for Alcala if he didn't have issues. Houston would have kept him if they were easily fixable. The All Star reliever was not an all star reliever with the Twins. Whatever he does in Houston has produced different results than whatever he did when with the Twins. Yes, a reliever with a 3.75 ERA would be a nice addition, which is what Pressley was as a Twin. That generally isn't an All Star. Austudillo has an ERA of 3.00. Not an All Star. Duffey, 3.58. Not an All Star. Taylor Rodgers, not an All Star. Yes the e was put in there to irritate you

    There is not indication that Presley would have ever resigned with the Twins. People make that assumption, but there is no truth to it. The front office still would have had to scrounge up relievers One less for 2019 as I think Presley had one more year of control left. It would be more likely he would have preformed like he did for the Twins than what he did for the Astros

    Yup, trading Ynoa was a bad trade. So for a bad trade the front office is horrible. Got it

    As the Twins sink in underperformance, it would appear those that bloggers do likewise. Carl Jung’s line was something like it is hard to think but easy to judge.

    Kepler came up from AA as a September call up. The next season he started in AAA in service time manipulation. He has been up ever since. That all happened under Antony and Ryan running the show. That has nothing to do with the current front office. His contract is generous, but fair for a solid player

    Nick Blackburn was a top 100 prospect. If Arraez was traded for a Nick Blackburn ceiling type player, there would be much disgust over the trade.
