    We are smack dab in the middle of a youth movement and playoff bound. The FO needs to have kudos from the fans for dealing with above ave injuries and signing a couple key veteran backups (not gallo). I will always put Lewis at #1 because of his attitude and injuries. We need him in the lineup every day!! Keep Castro around and bring up Lee next year. Lets get younger and better!!!

    @jishfish I’m the overly optimistic guy that sees a way that AAA could happen next year with Walker, he has 2 months to fine tune some development in Florida this year and lets say he starts out in Low A next April/May, he may be so far advanced that it would be a waste to keep him there so he goes right to Iowa by June. Lets just suppose he rakes so well there for 60 days that the organization says to him. We are promoting you to AAA just to show you that pro ball isn’t this easy. Prove us wrong. Doubtful path but anything is possible. 19.5 yrs old playing for the Saints.

    Everything seems to scream winner when Walker is playing. If anyone player can fast track to MLB in the twins org, its gonna be Walker. I bet he is playing in AAA by next August. The guy is a STUD.

    Julien had a .692 obp against the Dbacks. 4 walks , 3 K’s. He must have had flashbacks to the AFL 2022. DH is looking 👀 goooood on him!!

    Its Pohlads $$ and it was well spent. The investment is still paying off and will for generations. Anyone that questions Joes value to Minnesota sports needs to few courses in economics, sports psychology, sociology etc…

    @Puckett34 no need to DFA anyone, trade gallo for a prospect which will open up a roster spot. Work out the other roster spots as needed. Lewis will most likely get his shot at sticking at 3rd. Polanco hopefully returns to health and Julien can DH while buck changes diapers….

    @puckett_34 so we need a 3rd baseman for a couple weeks. Bringing Lee up provides both him and the Twins with playing time and developmental data. No one will ever convince me that Lee doesn’t have the talent to play 3rd in mlb.

    The perfect trade would be no trades. Bring up Lee and work him into the team in mid August. Same with David Festa or any other hot hand in the minors. …. Well except that bucket of baseballs for Gallo, that would be a win/win.

    Thats definitely doable! If out pitching holds up, I would bet that we could get 37-40 wins.

    I just researched his stats and Pagan is actually having a good season! RP’s are definitely volatile. I’m going to give him props for figuring out whatever he did and for mgmnt putting him in places to succeed! I am actually quite surprised at some of stats compared to last season.

    awe memory lane! Its cool how players come and go as life moves on! I dont think we will sell much this year as we are in a power position that we haven’t really been in for decades. Our pitching is solid. But with a hole or two that probably won’t get filled via trade. We have a weird outfield mess of vets and youngsters that might be ok in October. The infield has an even stranger combo of vets and injuries and youngsters. If the right deal goes down, so be it but don’t expect much change via trade this year. The biggest question, does any team want to match up with our pitching in the first round?

    Its been a minute since he gave up a small lead. I trust Balazovic more that Pagan but its nice to see mgmnt using the players to their best abilities. I’ll tip my hat to Pagan if he doesn’t blow a hold for the rest of 2023.

    You want weird? Just bring up Brookes Lee from AA and give him 3rd base until RL returns. If Lee is the real deal, keep him here….

    Tell me again how batting average isn't a good indicator. Rocco is obviously putting Julien into positions that he can have success…. Nice job Rocco!

    I was a huge Willy Castro detractor. He simply didn't seem much different from other utility players and I figured Gordon would continue to develop and mature. Wellllll, Castro seems to be that guy instead (at least for 2023). Some guys just bloom late and some guys burn out early. Right now, it would be a huge mistake to put Castro or any of the young studs on the bench and play the returning from injured list vets. We are witnessing a growth cycle in the youth movement in the Twins org. This season has been painful to watch at times with vets trying to hang onto their career. If the lineup was managed based solely on “what have you done for me lately.” They would likely have 6-8 more wins and would be on the verge of running away with the central. Castro is here to stay until he isn't. Don’t hold onto him with he stops being productive. The next guy up will fill his shoes just fine but that will be 2024 or 2025. Or 26-27. Until then, enjoy the young mans effort. He is fun to watch!!
