  1. Correa should be here. Give him the money and he could end up being a guy like Rod Carew and Tony Oliva who will help attract the best young players in the game after a HOF career. Just pay him.
  2. Miranda isn’t getting traded. Maybe Martin coming off his AFL showing along with Kepler and Cavaco. Open up some room for Emanuel Rodriguez in 2025
  3. We need another building block in order to win now. Without CC we will have growing pains for the next 2-3 years as the youngster’s start their MLB careers and enter their prime. At least Gallo will be gone, hopefully at the trade deadline or maybe he will be an allstar one last time. As long as we get full seasons out of AK, Buck and TL, Arraez should be close to scoring 100+ runs. Personally, I’m probably going to watch more saints games this year….
  4. Hard to speculate any more that you have. It does slow down the call ups of younger players and it also helps the development of guys like Miranda. I don’t want to see Arraez traded and I doubt the FO is going to give up on any of their young player development. They are playing money ball with all the $700k salaries on the roster. We are a very young team with a ton of multi position athletes in Mpls, St. Paul and Wichita. With CC, we will be a contender for years playing money ball with the next kid up. This year, it will keep Julien, Lee, and Martin out of MLB. 2024 will be a different look when guys like Kepler and Polanco and Gallo will all be gone.
  5. That manipulation or lack there of can be debated and has been previously. I believe that service time is manipulated on the regular but thats just my opinion. If there is a lack of injuries in the bigs, the youngsters always get held back as long as possible even if they are MLB ready.
  6. The only problem with signing Cruz would be not playing 4 guys in the DH every 4th day of 1/2 rest. Can we cut that pie into fifths?
  7. Is he even healthy or in shape? Hard pass.
  8. Julien will not be traded. His service time will be manipulated until there is an injury this year or next that will get him to the big show and I expect him to stay once he gets here. Lee will be right behind him in 2024. Balazovich and other young pitchers need to step up in 2023. A deep dive into our young pitchers would be a great article to read. Martin will probably not be up until September. He needs to tear it up with the Saints this year.
  9. I would rather throw our young guys out there and see which one or two stick. The FO wants home grown talent and we all know that mid level FA pitchers are basic garbage when they come here. We got 5-6 young guys that either need to develop another year or swim with the sharks in MLB this year.
  10. Fulmer and chafin would be nice but I don’t see that happening. I still wonder why they didn’t sign Profar instead of Gallo.
  11. I dont think SF or NYM need Carlos, he would just be an asset they can trade away as soon as he has a great year and or win the WS. They probably have buyer remorse because the market is topped out for this year and they are using long term health as a way out if they can’t renegotiate terms.
  12. Whatever the final amount of $$$ correa gets, he will be an asset to any clubhouse he is in. 5 years from now, it will probably look like a bargain if we get him for 9/$275ish. It would also be nice to beat the mets in the WS in one of those years ?
  13. Which might be a great play for a starting pitcher and a prospect.
  14. That list looks great with Correa on it but I doubt he will be here. Erod and Julien are still babies in 2024. One or both will still spend significant time in st. Paul but I do love your list! A home grown team would be awesome to see developed finally!
  15. If Correa signed at 10 yr $350M deal with the twins and had an op out every year. Whats the worst thing that could happen? He stays here for 10 years and becomes a HOF. The kid is a winner and can DH half of the year in year 8,9,10 on one leg.
  16. AK will man 1st base in 2024. Martin and Erod will be shuttling between mpls and st paul. Celestino will be our 5th outfielder after spending 1/3 of 2023 in St. Paul. The kids just need more development but we will be stacked with good controllable OFs.
  17. Offer carlos a ten year $350M with and opt out after every year. He will likely exercise it in November 2023 but can say to himself in the mean time that he signed a long term dream deal. Boras can also claim to be the best agent ever. Lol.
  18. I’m betting that Enlow gets picked up and DFA’d multiple times over the next 2 years. He eventually will find a home and be solid pitcher. In the mean time, the twins need to bring in some legitimate big league talent to be competitive this year. If by chance he clears waivers, we can stash him for a year and watch his development and make a better decision on him in 10 months.
  19. You need to account for holidays. MLB shuts down so its not calendar days.
  20. There is no way ERod should ever be mentioned in a possible trade. You never trade 19yo centerfielders. I would bet that he is playing AAAA in 2024 as a 21 yr old.
  21. Everyone of these guys besides Kepler has more value to the twins than any other team at this point. Don’t trade away great young talent!
  22. We have a mostly young team with several SS on the way very soon. We also have SP depth blossoming this season. No way the front office is going to do a trade unless they are just given a guy which wont happen. Royce will be in the lineup by July and with in 3 years, he and Brooks Lee will be our starting middle infielders.
  23. .263 career batter at target field. I’ll bet he hits above that average this year and has 40+ dingers. A year from now everyone of you will want to sign him to a 3-4 year deal….
  24. So we are basically better off this year except we dont have correa. I’d bet on the young players developing and 2-3 of them having breakout years. We still can’t compete well in the playoffs but alot can change by the trade deadline. Maybe we can sign 1 more decent starter just for insurance.
  25. Don’t the Yankees have a RF guy thats kinda good? Can’t remember his name tho atm??‍♂️
