  1. What do we do if there isn’t room for Donny B on the 26man?
  2. The twins are over .500 with buxton playing during his career so he is a difference maker. I am willing to wait until he retires to say his career was a bust. We as fans get 5 more years of him so enjoy the ride! It may get remarkably better!!
  3. Ty France is a nice player but I wil stick with AK and Miranda on a platoon.
  4. Not too early, I will predict HOF because Jenkins will be in the show very quickly and stay intil he is 40. He will do things no one else has done. There I said it.
  5. I was referring to swr, canterino. Festa. Even JB if he can get his stuff to work. I know they arent all 22 and arent on the 40 man but we move guys in and out all the time with options so that isnt a big deal. We just need 1 solid fill in from time to time and that buys us time to get the stud for October to pair with Pablo. Yes I’d prefer to have a stud signed yesterday but that isnt realistic.
  6. As long as our top 5 don’t avoid injury, it will be nice to give the youngsters some spot starts. The FO may wait to the trade deadline to do a deal. Maybe 🤔
  7. I doubt Kep would be willing and I would hope that we can find a better fill in when buck isnt out there. I actually believe buck will play alot of CF in 24’ so its an issue we wont need to deal with until we do and at that point, we have plenty of in house options.
  8. I don’t think Lee has played OF. I could be wrong tho….
  9. A lot depends on how 24 goes. If their arms stay strong and they are getting guys out, both will get starter innings. 125-200 per season until they are declining in their mid 30s. Either way, they have what they need to get guys out. If Paddack has a solid season, I bet they extend him for another 2-4 years.
  10. I hope they both have a big impact in 24&25. Both are young and controllable so it would be great if they are in the rotation or BP for years. Great mound presence for each and a full tool box. Spring can’t get here soon enough!!
  11. He will be right there in st paul with dobnak. Saints will be awesome!!
  12. #13 Ballys write the Twins a check for $40M and the Twins spend a bunch of it on the acquisition of another ace SP. extra $$$ is always nice around the holidays!
  13. I kinda like this trade. It might be a solid trade for both teams to add the right role players to fill out a roster. I like Farmer but his skillset is a bit redundant our roster.
  14. I was just looking at Royce’s bio in baseball reference and it says his rookie status is in tact thru 2024. That doesn’t seem right….
  15. I am very excited to see Varland develop his off speed pitches. He will be a mid rotation guy as soon as that wipeout pitch is there to use at any time he needs it. We can find other guys to pitch the 7th and 8th.
  16. I can see these guys having some ups and downs but what if they are legit stars. Guys that dont let the lows get real low and make constant adjustments to reach new highs. What if over a full season they don’t regress? Or just statistically a minimal difference… 2024 could be an absolute change from what we are used to seeing. What if our hitting and scoring outshines our pitching? Oh the possibilities!!
  17. I believe he lost his rookie status by both time on the roster and ABs in 2023. But not by a whole lot. 110+ ABs over the threshold.
  18. The sky is definitely the limit for Royce. His positivity will likely add production to everyone in the clubhouse. I hope he rubs off on the laid back AK the most. Not many players can pencil in a 3/4/5 slash line but Royce has the tools to do it in a large sample size!
  19. Even a mediocre season with 120 games played will be considered a success for Buxton because of his injury history. My point was that setting the bar so low is only partial success tho. He has a contract that incentivizes him to be an MVP and I would bet he has that as a goal in his career. I’d be happy with a solid season that he could build off of but I’m still setting the bar higher than that.
  20. It’s tough for these guys not to play hurt. Even C4 showed up barely able to walk some days but after getting treatment, he would be out on the field, playing hurt and GDP’ng more than ever. Health will bring better results and more success in ‘24!
  21. I think a few people didn’t read this post the way it was intended. At age 30, a successful season for Buxton should be nothing short of an Allstar season and MVP talk from game 1 to game 180. Its not his fault that injuries have derailed his career. Its a bit late to ask for 100 games of semi mediocre results from a healthy, grown man. He has put in his time with the medical and training/rehab experts, its time to expect expert results from a 5 tool guy. Actual success, even for him, shouldn't be showing up to participate. Success for Buxton in ‘24 should be putting on a show. I said what I said. MVP talk all season long.
  22. Agreed. There is depth but it is limited which is why its hard to trade it away. There are pieces that will accrue more value if given the development time.
  23. This is why I have no problem with the FO going slow this year. There is no panic when we have what we have and that is a very deep organization in most positions. Our biggest issues are simply question marks of youth and health. But isnt that really how it should be? A couple missing pieces is all we need to get to 90+wins. That gets us to October and thats where we need to focus but we have until August so there is no real rush.
  24. We aren’t planning on drafting in the top 20 anytime soon so we shouldn’t trade away the guys that are going to be impossible to replace.
