  1. I think they got caught doing exactly that either by MLB or by his agent. Someone probably asked the question if he had been treated recently by the teams medical staff and poof. Option rescinded….. and then the gobbly goop of an excuse.
  2. I believe that because he wasn’t on the 26 man when injured, there is more time available and he might be in a rehab assignment in Florida which also lengthens his il stint
  3. @CCHOF5yearstoolate that Digs info was only for the HSchool pitchers? Where is the digs for college guys?
  4. Just for the record, AK was getting treatment from the team medical staff 2 weeks+ before the il stint. Its disingenuous to say he hid his injury.
  5. On 4/23 Headrick was transferred to the 60 day il and is still on that list
  6. True to Billy Ball, we got Billy undervalued! Debarge looks like a total gamer that is gonna be one of the toughest outs for any pitcher. Kyle and Billy got attitudes! If Billy can cut the chase rate to 18%, his contract rate should go up. IF he sheds those warts early in his career, he will climb into the top 100 prospects list quickly.
  7. Its because AK has been a disappointment. Would you substitute Miranda for AK and do the trade? 3/24….everyone would have traded Miranda.
  8. Its a great moment in time trade. Injuries just plain suck the mojo out of talented player and the team they are on. Both players would probably flourish with a new start. AK, if he finally kicks the injury bug could end up as a 125ops+ guy for his prime years thru age 34. It will most likely not be in a Twins uniform. Detmers could be an ace yet. Do this trade!
  9. I was a little surprised Culpepper was still on the board at 21. I expect him to move thru the minors quickly. Maybe not quite as fast as Brooks Lee but he isn't going to stay in Iowa very long. I would expect 6 pitchers and a catcher today being picked. I like the bats we got yesterday but I would have went with Brody Brecht with our 2nd pick. Could have done a straight up comparison to Chase Petty for the next decade.
  10. I see zero similarities to Keaschall outside of them playing the same college sport and they are infielders. This kid is raw but has projection. It’s going to take a lot of work to get him to MLB but I wouldn’t put a AAA ceiling on him. A great value pick at #60!!
  11. I love this pick. We need a big lefty that throws smoke. In 3-4 years Hill and Soto will be in AAA and we will be begging for them to be called up. Our bonus pool $$$ is plenty big to sign hill and possibly another hs arm in round 4 but another 6-8 straight picks of college arms and a catcher would be just fine!
  12. But wait. At the MLB level, Ryan was almost strickly a fastball pitcher when he arrived. He and the Twins have developed 2 more pitches since arriving and not doing the east side shuffle across the river. We need to draft more high pedigree hurlers. Chase Petty would have developed here just fine but we got Sonny G for a couple years and now a SS in the system from his comp pick. A very nice trade btw that may payoff for years.
  13. All the speedy hit tool infielders become Twins on draft day. Even slower 3b man. We certainly are loaded with farm kids.
  14. Rocco gets a plus ONE for todays lineup and win.
  15. Even better if you leave out the 7-13 cold mess start.
  16. I know Im late to this thread but…. He is the luckiest guy on earth cause 1” to the right and that bullet would have exploded his skull. apologies for saying anything. It shouldn’t have been brought up at all.
  17. I wouldn’t be surprised if a bench player batting blow up happens and we cruise to a comfortable win.
  18. Florida Panthers losing 3 straight a couple weeks ago….
  19. The Twins definitely are not cursed. Ballball can be brutal on an athletes’ body and mind. The best batters fail 69.7% of the time. Most fail 70.4% of the time. Most wash out if they can’t keep their BA over .240. Its a fine line. I like to look at what Brooks Lee is doing this season after what he has went thru with his back injury. Many had pegged Colson Montgomery in the white sox org as a better/ higher rated SS prospect than Lee. Colson is having a somewhat tough year in AAA. He probably won’t see MLB in 2024. We have Lee tho. Probably until he needs a reset or quite possibly until he retires. That is not a fine line. Anything can happen! But its a great show to watch!!
  20. Lee’s small sample size. 8 games. 12 hits. 9RBI’s. HR in his 4th and 8th game played. In MLB. He might be a keeper.
