  1. I’m not going to temper my expectations. Zebby is a professional athlete who is well prepared. He is mature enough to handle it and maybe thrive quickly. KC’s lineup has a couple holes in it and a couple monsters. Its not a stretch to surmise that he is here to stay and that pitching pipeline has been doing exactly as it is supposed to.
  2. Pay him all the $$$. The Pohlads can afford it. He will get over the injury bug a boo. 7 years $150M with some options and incentives.
  3. Let the kids pitch. Festa is settling in. Give Varland and Matthews the same chance if the Sheriff has to go to the pen to save his arm.
  4. SWR is looking dominant. He has that intimidating big dog mound presence. We gotta win tomorrow to send a message to the Guardians that they will be chasing us the rest of the year.
  5. Maybe the Guardians will match the whitesox with a loooooong losing streak!
  6. Lewis/Castro at SS and Miranda/Farmer/Castro at 3rd Castro/Martin at 2nd There are a lot of possibilities and flexibility built into our roster without Lee or Correa
  7. Like Jackson Holliday, Lee needs the AAA reset time. Give Farmer a few weeks. If he stinks, bring Lee back if he is ready/reset
  8. Thats an HOF on a mission ACE. Scherzer and a handful of guys over a decade get to that type of supermanism.
  9. Great writing!!! The only thing that is constant, is change… and Martin in a state of constantly changing his location on the bases in a quick fashion. This, in itself is what makes the defense over compensate to stop him …. which leads to all the necessary evil to accomplish his impossible scoring rate. Don’t expect anything to change.
  10. Next man up. Thats why you have a pitching pipeline full of Young talent. Varland should get his chance (again) Festa may be settling in. SWR needs to bring some lights out consistency. Dobnak should get a spot start sometime and throw in some guy named Trevor Bauer 🤷🏼‍♂️
  11. She will undoubtedly do better than that Trevor guy we traded for…
  12. What a great kid from a great family! He will undoubtedly out work everyone on his way to the show.
  13. That kid can make guys take horrible AB’s. He has one heck of a future!!
  14. We could end up with 3 pitchers in MLB that have top 12 stats for the whole season. They are pitching great now and if they keep it up thru October. Who is going to want to bat against us? our 🐂 pen does not suck either!
  15. What we know right now. Ober is on a heater. Ryan has been Mr. Consistency while being almost as good as the start of if ‘23. He may finish ‘24 better that even that. He has quiet confidence. Lopez is getting sneaky Ace production. The FO and Ownership is clearly all in on riding the team we have to keep the winning window open for a decade. The draft, they develop and they trade only to supplement a hole or too. The gamble on their expertise to get rookies to produce and be above average. They both have a chip on their shoulders and it just might work. Home grown money ball.
  16. Early season, I would rank them Ryan, Lopez, Ober. A little later it would be Ryan, Ober, Lopez. As of now Ober,Lopez,Ryan. Not because Ryan has pitched worse but because Ober and Lopez have stepped up their games. It would not surprise me to see Ryan string together great starts in Aug and Sept. If that happens, their is definitely a case to be made for Ryan being the most consistent SP thru out the 30+ starts that each of them will have made. If Ryan is solid into October, I would have a hard time not saying that he had the best 2024 season based on Lopez having multiple stinkers and Ober with his KC low lights.
  17. This is quite the development train rolling thru out the organization! If Soto keeps up his development, we will see him in Wichita next year (at 19 yo!!) He is such a great guy as well. It’s fun to dream about how good these young kids will be.
  18. The Tim Anderson debacle and other clubhouse issues destroyed them quickly. They also have a highly rated SS prospect having a below average year in AAA…. He was supposedly better than Brooks Lee. The Twins are doing many things right thru out the organization! The Sox…. Not so much. edit. Colson Montgomery has stuck out 16 times in his last 50 PA with a .630 ops in Charlotte.
  19. Fast forward 2 years, our farm system is probably top 8-10 in baseball. Late rounders being developed in MLB’rs and early round picks moving thru the farm fast. We have mostly a home grown team in yr 8 of Falvey and by year 10, that will increase.
  20. Ryan just has to be more consistent. Carry 5-8 consecutive games into the 7th inning and we can talk about 3 Aces. Also, as SWR develops, he has that kind of potential.
