  1. I like your list. Andrew Morris andZebby Matthews are both having quite a breakout season. By this time next year, they may both be on Varsity. That minor league pitching development train seems to be rolling.
  2. Yes, but if its “used to boost performance “…. Potentially, ownership could be creative on how they use it.
  3. If I were the twins FO. Id sit down with existing players with a bonus plan based on 2nd half and playoff incentives. String that carrot and pay the money when the WS is won. Id also buy more pitching.
  4. They just got Joe Kelly back, activated a River Ryan. They have Grove, Grateral and Kershaw currently on rehab assignments. They obviously are trying to keep the best pitchers on the team. Im not sure Paxton is someone to over look. He may be an upgrade depth piece that is cost effective for the cheap ownership family.
  5. The Dodgers will get multiple trade offers. His value is still limited tho. I would think a josh winder would be enough
  6. Yeah, I was at the game. We lacked base runners and key hits when guys were on base. Sundays team RISP 1 for 12. 4 runs scored on 3 HR. Martin would have saved 2 runs if the kid would’ve not caught the HR ball that barely got over the wall. Its a game of inches but baserunners and key hits wins games.
  7. This could be a shrewd move. James Paxton was DFA’d by the Dodgers with an 8-2 record and a 4.11 ERA. We could do a sign and trade with them to get him before he goes to waivers. Probably just cost us some cash.
  8. We got to watch Buck blast 2 hr on Sunday in person while the rest of the offense struggled. Id rather the twins play small ball every day.
  9. Snell is just one example, our window is wide open to go deep into the playoffs. We need to acquire the best pitching possible. There will be a team that will want Farmer and a prospect. Baseball is still a business.
  10. I expect that Julien will play real solid baseball. He is a young professional and has made some adjustments. 24’ has proven that we no longer lack depth in our Farm system. We have a top 5 offense and can go 2-3 deep without having to play a marginal AAA prospect. The Twins are a young team and we are lucky to get to watch this group grow up together. Julien might not be the most versatile defensive player but he has definitely improved that part of his game!
  11. Farmer is on the IL and will likey get the Gallo treatment.
  12. I like the idea but dislike it at the same time. With Paddack wearing down, he needs rest and then be sent to the bullpen in Aug/Sept. Sears could slot into his spot or in the 5 spot so Pablo could follow a lefty starting the day before him. Id rather have Max Scherzer tho.
  13. @DJL44 you beat me to the list as it should be. I might even just graduate Lee off of it since its obvious that he will accrue mlb time just due to injuries. A case could be made to flip flop Festa/Mathews. If you take Lee off, there is an argument also to put Dasan Hill in at 10/11 based on projectibility of an 18 yo lefty pitcher.
  14. No one thought Nelson Cruz would defy father time like he did either. Its all gotta be Baldelli’s fault.
  15. That play derailed when Margot dove at the ball with ZERO chance to catch it. Yas should have been held to a single or thrown out at 2nd trying to stretch it to a double
  16. Farmer and Margot have to improve their production immediately or they have to go. We got games to win.
  17. It was an offseason move this past winter. My point was that Doncon was the best part of that trade and will might possibly payoff some day in MLB.
  18. I’m still down on Margottago but the trade did bring in Doncon (future asset) Farmers signing was a safety net that so far hasn’t paid off because younger guys are outplaying him. If these two guys don’t pick up their game in July/Aug, they have no business being on the field in Sept/Oct. Maybe Margot resets over the allstar break and Farmer comes back from the IL and finishes the season with an above average ops+ We got 45 more wins to get before October. The higher paid vets gotta step up or get out of the way.
  19. I predict the Twins will go on a heater and end up with 99 wins and a central div crown. Cleveland will finish with closer to 94 wins and KC, Astros and Yankees will fight it out for the last wild card slot.
  20. Awesome news for the org and Zebby!! Coming into this season, I thought Raya would be this guy but Zebby it is! Home grown and developed ! Nothing better than that.
  21. Probably wasn't rocked. Pitched 3 innings, 49 pitches, 4 K’s, 2 hits, 2 bb 1 earned run.
