    Hill and CP will be getting promoted if they keep up with the 4/5 inning close to ZERO ERA formula. Lefty’s consistently sitting at 95/96 mph and wipeout off speed stuff. WOW. So fun to watch these two kids.

    With analytics, building a player profile with AI and feeding information into a program. Projecting should be much more scientific. Its the looking for that profile thats important. Wont guarantee results.

    Yeah, we face alot of bad mlb pitching so is it really necessary to send guys down to get them locked in at the plate. Once we get C4 and Lewis hitting like Buck, do we really need to trade pitching for more hitting?

    Whats Paddack worth in FAgency? $12M/year max? He is pitching like a #2/3 SP. someone will pay for him one way or the other.

    Depth is always an illusion. We don’t have enough pitching. We have great hitters that have been injured and Lewis is currently lost but I would expect that he will find his swing soon. by the trade deadline, we may need to trade for pitching so I would not be out looking for a big bat on the trade market. LK will be back in 5 weeks and will spark the offense by getting on base 5 times in 3 AB’s😂 Seriously tho. We need another RP to step up and we need all the young guys that swing a bat to step it up. See ball, hit ball.

    Festa, SWR, Adams and Raya are viable options on the 40 man. Why not try one of them in the bullpen?

    If we had a reasonable replacement for Alcala, he should just be DFA’d. One more go to guy in any situation would make this bullpen ELITE.

    @DocBauer I couldn’t agree more. Kwesi has built a team that will win, he just hasn’t done it by drafting 4/5 new starters in every draft. He is great at signing FA’s and manipulating the cap so his leadership should translate to long term success. Have any details come out about the length of his contract extension?

    They will likely both figure out the issues at some point. Miranda has higher upside if he can get fully healthy. Julien is more of a ghost since he is more replaceable by LK, Culpepper and a half dozen other guys that will be knocking the MLB door down over the next 2 seasons.

    I view a successful GM as a guy that can keep reloading talent and winning games. Especially in the playoffs. Drafting successfully is paramount to long term franchise health. Young guys have to play above their payroll as they develop into their prime. I see signing UDFA as the same thing. You gotta find that cheap missing link that everyone overlooked. Once you build a winner, you have to keep restocking the shelves every year. FA’s are nice but you need the cap space to sign the best ones in their prime. FA’s cant be the way to build. Its just not sustainable. A year ago, the smart people picked the vikes to win 6 games. The same people are now saying 10 wins. When you look at the new roster, 10 is light. McCarthy is a winner. Get used to WINNING!

    Lots of questions about McCarthy but really only one, can he win with a mature allstar type of team around him. and possibly the best head coach in the NFL right now. McCarthy is going to be wildly successful if he is anything close to serviceable. He could end up in MVP talk if the vikes roll from day one game one.
