He is an always injured prospect with immense talent. Not someone with high trade value.

Well we waited 10 years to get a 5+ WAR season out of Buxton… Lewis is gonna get a long string. Sorry guys but he wont be getting traded. We have a very wide open championship window since we have started drafting the best athletes instead of drafting for need. LK, WJ and KC will be regular twins next year and will be here for a decade. No way we are going to blow up the roster when Wichita has so much future talent. mcCrusher should go to 1B mans camp and have his eye on ‘26 full time job. Or teach Larnach or Wallner… we got talented OF’s coming fast thru the system!

Plausible points for sure but nothing is written in stone until each player retires. I do like the way to organization drafts but have been critical of several picks over the years. I do believe strongly that the farm system has gotten much better in the last decade and is primed to send many guys to MLB. How long they last, no one knows…

We are always 1 guy away from the next guy up….. Raya will get a shot at MLB when he is ready.

I haven't been following Ferrer so this is a very interesting bit of info!! That 3 game series was crazy!! I just assumed Olivar and Diaw were the two best young C’s in minors. We have drafted well the last few years!

My guess is the Olivar gets on the 40 man and is the backup C out of spring training next year. Im still GEEKED about our first 4 picks. All could be special!! They drafted some absolute studs!

I bet we sign all 20. Most of the late picks are college guys with little or no eligibility left.

13 pitchers, 6 IF, 1 OF (LHB) perfect mix except no Cal Bodine. They will regret not drafting him. You heard it here first. The 2025 Draft was a huge success!

@chpettit19 @tarheeltwinsfan Quick was available to Baltimore 3 times and they chose other guys. They obviously aren’t looking for college flame throwers early….

Bodine and Stevenson (30,35) were picked right ahead of Quick at 36. I wonder if one were available, would we have taken either? Also, Baltimore took Irish and Bodine so they are doubling down….. and they have lots of early picks

I’ll grant ya a year on Varland but he was still developing the year before so the time spent on the AAAA taxi squad was probably worth it. It seems to be paying off now and he has a long career ahead. I don’t want to see Jax as a starter but some TD’r simply won’t let that die. He needs to get his payday and be a Twin stopper for the next 6-8 years. Sands seemed to develop late to me. Not ever been much of a fan but he seems to be excelling as a 2 inning opener. Long men are a difficult group for me to access…. @nicksaviking

The only real disappoints have been C4 and Lewis. If those two guys would have just had average type hitting, we would have likely won 10+ more games in the first half. They need to find their allstar side and display it the whole 2nd half to get us into the playoffs.

I just gotta respectfully disagree on the length of SP leash. The twins have a great strategy of how to put a top 10 bullpen together year after year. Not many guys under 25 with SP 1-3 potential are gonna be sent to the pen before they get to their arbitration eligibility.

Its hard to pigeon hole the pitchers as likely relievers the day after being drafted. Yeah, thats there floor, but isn't that a floor every pitching prospect has? At 20 years old, I’d bet they are closer to solid SP than just a high octane 2 pitch reliever. Lets save that until they are 25 and cant get thru the lineup 3 times.

As always, I am GEEKED about the day 1 picks!! A SS that can play great defense and an absolute banger for a “young” pun intended. He is going to light up target field in 2027!! Finally some front line pedigree college SP!!! Flame throwing guys that know how to get guys out. Would not be surprised if they are both in the 2027 rotation. A great start to the draft.,.. now go get the catcher of the future.

What's all the buzz about in Wichita?
Fatbat replied to Chris Hove's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
Fedko should be promoted to see if he can handle AAAA pitching. His defense is plenty good with a large sample size. -
There will be a lot of turnover by the spring of ‘27 in AAA. Might be more than that in n the twins especially when the new ownership sets up their priorities and goals. It seems like 25/26 is just caught in a ground hogs day scenario. Same type of guys that streak more cold than hot and then get injured. Injuries then derail the career. At some point, they gotta stop signing the Margot’s/Gallo’s and let the kids loose.
