  1. Tait will be in AAA in ‘26 if he keeps breaking baseballs open. Its insane how hard he hits at his age. also Bradley, Abel, Preillip and Raya will all be finding their way onto the MLB roster soon. Dasan Hill is in A+ now so he is advancing fast as well.
  2. There alot of other AAAA leaser pedigree guys that will also hit MLB with us or another team in the next 2 yrs. Hopefully they are smart enough to not trade away a Rooker type that just needs time to find his way in MLB.
  3. Its kind of a thing now to pitch a lot of guys 2-4 innings and not have many 6 inning SP. someone is always trying to change the game to their advantage.
  4. Well yes, the Pohlads still own most of the team and control the culture and dynamics of the organization but what if the investors work within to make positive changes? Two investors that essentially bring bail out $$$$ to the table are going to want to make a profit AND bring an EGO driven result winner to its fans. Lets go down the road of indifference (I am for now) …. How far does that road go when the team starts winning on a regular basis? Like it or not, we won’t have a $200M payroll of star players anytime soon but we will have a ton of youngsters to cheer for as underdogs in ‘26/27. Cheer for the kids and hate the Pohlads frugality has worked for me for the last 30 years. At least now I can hope on a minority investor advocating in a board room that player x, y & z need to be paid by us instead of playing for someone in the visitors dugout. Maybe, the investors will put their money and their ideas into a culture of winning instead of just winning someday. Go ahead and be indifferent for now. I am already down that road but will be watching for the intersection of the road to “Twins Win, Twins Win” .
  5. We traded away Rooker, Steer, CES to name a few. At some point we will hit on greatness.
  6. Its a great baseline as thats what we have on board now in the org. Changes will be interesting to track before spring training. I do wonder if Ober would be a great bullpen guy or a complete bust at it. I also see a full season of this bullpen game thing they do a lot of now. Its more than just because of necessity. Its a trending plan.
  7. Probably be the same way they built the last one. Throw in a couple failed starters. Add in a few young arms that play in1-2 inning stints. Sign a few failed guys off the scrap heap of MLB FA pitching. Throw it all at the wall and see what sticks.
  8. Was Asamoah that bad? I thought he was turning into a special teams hero?
  9. What I haven’t heard is if 30m was already wired or does it go to the Astros in allotment payments over 3 yrs. Its Falvey’s MO to build a complete pitching staff every way possible so the names will change but will find guys to get outs. The new ownership group cant possibly be as cheap as the Pohlads. I do hope we have a big 6-7 rookie group in’26. Much like 1982. What happens if we win 32-35 more games in ‘25 and get a wild card? *GASP*
  10. This vibe started in April when LK was called up. The win streak followed immediately. Then injuries hit hard with several guys. If LK and others would have been playing regularly, its not hard to imagine this team somewhere 10-16 games over .500 right now. We will never know but baseball is a mind game. The bomba squad had “It”. The ‘87 and ‘91 teams, Royce brought “it” in ‘23. We got more of these guys in the minor leagues. ‘26/27 with new ownership…. Whew…. We will be rolling sooner than the debbie downers think.
  11. He played with no stat line. Both playing and not playing can be true at the same time.,.
  12. One heck of a game! Nice to see the new kids having a blast and winning games.
  13. C4 was at replacement value and we lost winnable games. He is gone and we are winning winnable games. Win win for everyone. We will find a SS in the offseason….
  14. I didn’t miss anything. We salary dumped a non performing, injury prone vet that makes 33M/ yr. He was awesome when he was awesome and horrible this season. Might be great in an Astros uniform, might not be either. He is gone and I don’t care. Look ahead and spend that money on future performance. Might be a big time 1B guy. Might be a platoon catcher and another ace pitcher. The future payroll will be up to a new owner and wether they spend 100-120M or 120-180M is their business. They can spend their money wisely or horribly. Money doesn’t guarantee success. Hopefully they don’t dumpster dive.
  15. Payroll will be over $100M and it will be new ownership paying bills. I don’t know who they will target in trades or FA but a new roster will be built and it wont have Gasper or other AAAA guys.
  16. How can anyone access a recent draft choice and say his bat wont play in MLB? Houston was a stud at wake forest and in a small sample of games in the fort, he is killin it. Not smashing HR’s but playing his game, his way. He is a kid. He has over a thousand PA in the last 3 years and he is Mr. Consistency. He wont by in AAA until maybe late ‘26 but will be there in ‘27 as a 23 yo, he will be primed for a shot at MLB. The future infield of Lewis, LK, KC, Lee will have room for Houston. 5 athletes that can play small ball and go yard. Thats exciting!!
  17. I missed the game… gonna watch some tape tomorrow am with coffee ☕️
  18. You can buy alot of talent with $33M/yr. He had some great production but he had horrid stretches and IL stints. You can buy that kind of stuff for the major league minimum salary. Then spend the other $32M on guys that actually produce and are in the lineup every day.
  19. Nobody talking about Winokur because of his strikeout rate…. I want to see Culpepper in AAA next week. Houston should finish up in Iowa this season. Send him on the express train. Lets get more athletic guys in the big leagues and put the poor defense behind us.
  20. The Stewart trade was an F and the Varland trade is mind bogglingly ludicrous. F-. The others got some value back but the biggest and best one was no more C4 GIDP.
  21. Luuuuuuuuuke…. Doing MVP stuff again….
