  1. I am still wondering how Jenkins fell to 5. Clark’s speed was his calling card and Crews OPS was ridiculous and over rated. I also had Jacob Wilson in my top 5 and expected Dollander to be better than he has been but he does pitch at Coors field.
  2. On another note, Luke Keaschall is going to get to 130 AB’s soon and burn his rookie status. Is there a chance that the FO stashes him in St. Paul next week to allow him to chase ROY in ‘26? He already has 1.7WAR in 30 games played!! edit. 1.6WAR in 31 games. 113 AB’s
  3. Morris and Rosario are interesting assets. Rosario will most likely be added to the 40 man and spend most of ‘26 in AAA. Hopefully chasing McCrusher’s ‘25 season. Morris is a sneaky pick to be an early ‘26 MLB innings eater. Its pretty awesome to have lower ranked talent heat up in August and force their way into promotion consideration. Morris could make the ‘26 opening day Twins roster. I am already bracing for a ‘26 Twins payroll under $120M with a many very young guys rotating in and out of the show. (The shat show) in MPLS.
  4. This is a full on tank it type move. Its not possible to try and lose every game more than moves like this. It’s ok to throw away a season I suppose since the next thing to look forward to is a late winter trade of both our ace SP’s so we can tank even more in ‘26. BRUTAL.
  5. Winokur is so young but so athletically strong. Definitely a freak of nature so when he actually develops man strength, wow! Look out. It makes sense to move him around the defensive spectrum when he is 20-22 years old so he can see the game from different perspectives. He will find a D-home and when(not if), when he finds his discerning eye at the plate, he will light up the minors and force his way to MLB. Playing his 21 yo season NEXT year in A+ ball to start, he will still be a year younger than the average guy in A+. He will and should stay there until he starts to crush his contract rate. He has 1k PA’s in pro ball so his sample size is still relatively small. He will develop. Like others have stated, just takes some time.
  6. All he has to do is take a leap to consistently contact pitches in the zone. He may do that in ‘26 or ‘27…. When he does, he will be in St.Paul and building his resume.
  7. Great article! Baseball does indeed need a salary fix for its young players. Some sort of built in way to force a bridge contract to buy out arbitration years. much like rule 5, a certain # of players with ( x ) amount of mlb time could elect free agency thru a rule (y) draft but teams could protect (z) amount of players by signing them to a bridge contract thereby keeping them out of the draft.
  8. Fedko and Cardenas for sure. Is there an exception if there is a rash of injuries?
  9. Wally is catastrophically killing rallies on a regular basis. He is looking more like the frustrating side of Gallo as his career develops. 3 guys in AAA are gunning for 2 OF spots so something needs to change.
  10. My argument is that highschoolers, even “cant miss” is NOT worth the risk when you can draft “athletic” college guys that have developed enough to show their floor. Sabato was nothing more than a big bat that couldn’t hit a breaking ball regularly in college. He was a 3rd rounder at best. Jenkins was a great pick but what if Jacob is an allstar SS for a decade or more? Will it be worth the wait when the floor and ceiling were easy to evaluate for the GC Univ alum. Our early round drafting has vastly improved over the last few years….
  11. So the A’s are getting productive AB’s now and we might get them sometime later…..How many major league AB’s have we gotten out of Cavaco and Sabato?
  12. Meanwhile, Jacob Wilson is allstar caliber SS for the A’s already. JW taken the next pick afterWJ
  13. Now that Jenkins is healthy and seems like he is going on a heater, what the chance that he finishes the last 2-3 weeks of ‘25 in St.Paul?
  14. All the kid has done is win. Id rather win football games and championships than have a Phillip Rivers that throws for thousands of yards and rarely wins.
  15. If Redmond, Taki snack or anyone of the kids end up all pro in the next few seasons, it is definitely going to be viewed as a great move.
  16. The Jets are soo good at attracting aging vets. I wish them well. Phillips is a cool dude. Too bad he is now playing for such a messed up org.
  17. Does Phillips have links to the Jets? I am too lazy to research. He may have wanted out to play 3 downs all day long. Cant fault him for that.
  18. I understand that. Im good with them going all in for a Tyreek Hill or similar but not a 37 yo type that just wants to have walkin around $$$. Let our young guys ball out and go heavy with the run attach for 3 weeks if need be.
  19. They don't need a new guy. It should be next man up. Bring your A game for the skilled guys and don’t look back.
  20. I would put LK at #1 and he would be there until next April because I would stash him in AAA until next season. I would line up Jenkins, KC, Abel, Tait, Houston, Erod, Gabby, CP and Dasan Hill as my to 10. The kid with 62 stolen bases in CR is a clear honorable mention in the top 10.
  21. Houston isn’t a bat first prospect. Elite D. Serviceable contact hitter that is likely to develop. The Twins need elite D.
  22. Looks like Gallagher has some ride to his FB up in the zone. Got some exciting possibilities for these guys in 26/27. Houston is heading to CR so ya gotta love that he is moving up and crushed low A ball pitching. He may never hit 25 HR’s in MLB but he will be a gold glove!
