    Firing the manager is likely the best way to do what really needs to be done, which is for ownership to make a statement via actions that they see there is an issue that something needs to change here. Changes in other front office personnel would be another place to start. St. Peter for sure, but Falvine likely need a shakeup, too.

    At this point I'm rooting for them to lose out to avoid the ridiculousness of a "playoff run".

    So...if guys spend their time before the game working their position at infield and swinging the bat...I'm pretty sure getting asked to play a second position means you're taking away time from one of the above? If this is going to be an organizational philosophy, fine, but you need to have guys taking time at these secondary positions from A and up, not after they hit the Show.

    I have to wonder what is behind Lewis speaking out on the playing 2nd base insanity. Those weren't very thinly veiled criticisms of the BS.

    Not sure why you quoted me. Individual moves have nothing to do with an out of touch organization and its leadership.

    I think this is sad but true. Also a case where their loyalty history is hurting them. Time to update management and reconnect with the fans. He is massively out of touch.

    Should they? yes Can they? not necessarily, tight market Will they? not likely, other than may a scrap heap bullpen guy as a rental in exchange for a AA level prospect.

    Can anyone point me to the definitive source of game delay notices? Seems like usually it's waiting for St. Peter to put something on Twitter, which doesn't happen until less than an hour before the game. Would like a little more notice of a delay if possible.

    I was at the ballpark tonight. They clearly intend to cash in on the new merch. It made me wonder if the Pohlads installed a bell that would ring every time someone bought a new jersey. Clearly MLB sees the value in marketing, though, and stuff will sell because it's new, and not because it's good.

    Yeah not that hard to follow moving guys over vs. striking out can have its benefits.

    If someone wants to dig up a stat on how many guys were left on 1st or 2nd base when the inning ended on a strike out or especially back to back strikeouts I'd like to see that.
