  1. Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling are both available.
  2. You're right there's not much. At least Glen Perkins was successful. Cory Luebke was good but injuries took him out of baseball. Meyer is on the injury road too.
  3. Lots of injuries, but no more than on the MLB club. SMW is pitching well. Really hoping Jordy Blaze turns it around.
  4. But the good pitching prospects are still here. Balazovic, Varland, Simeon Woods Richardson, Winder, Canterino, Raya, Enlow.
  5. Rogers has been awful this year though. Paddack has more WAR this year than Rogers does.

    Correa for Soto???

The problem I see with the yankees in the Soto speculation is that they don't have the prospect capital the Nats would want, unless the deal is mostly a salary dump, in which case they could send 150m or so to the Nats along with prospects. I don't see that happening with NYY already in revenue sharing territory.

    Correa for Soto???

Not happening. Soto has a TON of excess trade value. He's the modern day Ted Williams. Not even worth speculating on the Twins. They'd have to include Joe Ryan, Spencer Steer, Jose Miranda, Trevor Larnach, Kirilloff, Bailey Ober and Carlos Correa to even get the Nationals to pick up the phone and get within shouting distance.
  8. Per fangraphs the Twins have a better change of making the postseason than either CWS or Cle. The White Sox suck. Their clubhouse is a mess. The Twins are like two bullpen arms away from running away with the division.
  9. Both of those guys are going to get a deal somewhere around 4/90. 10m isn't going to move the needle much for as they'll be getting a long term deal like Robbie Ray's.
  10. It was certainly a rough game to watch in person. I've been to 15 games or so this season and that was by far the worst. We left after the grand slam. Rocco should've pulled Gray when he was hit by the pitch. Cueto is one of the slowest working starters in MLB.
  11. His stuff is still good. I don't really understand why his ERA is so high. Twins probably have a better defense than SD does.
  12. Good defense and no miscues there that I saw. Celestino could not get a bunt down (2 attempts, then struck out) but defense was good, nice plays from Correa and Celestino. Good at bats from everybody except Buxton who was 0-5 with four strikeouts. He swung at everything.
  13. No chance, especially with the PED suspension.
  14. We had a thread on this already. No.
  15. Rocco said "we need a full bullpen." Kinda feels like a jab at the FO to me...Right now he does not have a full bullpen. He has one great option and one good option.
  16. Jax throws 97 with a hard slider.... Stashak's stuff is way less impressive than Jax's. Stashak throws like 91 with little movement.
  17. Eh, Bundy is: 1. leading the team in innings 2. better than his numbers indicate because his underlying stats (FIP, xERA, and xFIP) are all lower than his ERA. His xERA is a full run lower than his actual ERA. He doesn't walk guys, and he doesn't really nibble. He just gives up soft contact. 3. 4-4, which is pretty dang good for someone the Twins expected to be the 5th starter. To be honest, Bundy's been a lot better than I expected. Other than his starts right before covid and right after covid, he's been solid.
  18. Stop with the "Trade Correa" posts! He's not getting traded. The Twins are going to win the division-you don't get rid of your best player prior to a playoff run. Anything can happen in the postseason and yes, the Twins have less chance of advancing in the playoffs without Correa.
  19. WAR measures a player's value in all facets of the game by deciphering how many more wins he's worth than a replacement-level player at his same position (e.g., a Minor League replacement Joe Schmoe or a readily available fill-in free agent or waiver wire claim).
  20. If you watched the game you would've seen that he showed bunt once and it wasn't the first pitch of the at bat.
  21. Buxton showed bunt, but then didn't see another strike and walked.
  22. Buxton led off. First, having him bunt is borderline stupid anyway as he's 2nd in AL in homers. However, he did show bunt early in the count, then only saw one strike and walked. You would want Correa to bunt then? I've never seen Correa even try to bunt nor heard of him doing it.
  23. Correct. You can't be deemed a superstar if you've never even been an all-star or received top ten MVP votes.
