  1. DFA Sanchez I'd guess. I really like Archer as a person but the Twins are losing all of his starts. Bundy is pitching well. I'd go with Gray, Ryan, Mahle, Varland and Bundy as starters to finish the year. Give the team the best shot to make the playoffs.
  2. Trout won the MVP in 2019 despite Eddie Rosario having more RBI, what a travesty!
  3. So you would say that Miranda has been a more valuable offensive player for the Twins this year than Arraez?
  4. Unfortunately this feels like a "burn up the bullpen and then get walked off" type game.
  5. Exactly. The legitimate HR record is 61.
  6. I might not let him face Judge again especially with runners on. But sure, send him out there. He's not even giving up hard contact.
  7. The 3-2 pitch was a good pitch. Maybe an inch outside.
  8. True. I only included him as a point of reference. He still pales in comparison to A-rod though. And people disliked A-rod because he was "overpaid" too.
  9. Story also doesn't have the arm he did before the arm injury. His throws from 2b are not as quick as they used to be. He could probably still play an average shortstop but not a great shortstop. Course Bogaerts isn't very good there either.
  10. We'll find out next year with Beltran, who was by all accounts the leader of the sign stealing scandal. My guess is that Altuve, Beltran and Correa all get in. Some PED guys got in easily, like Bud Selig, Piazza, Pudge, Biggio, and David Ortiz, I guess because they were more well-liked than Sosa and Clemens.
  11. Both Lindor and Correa are on great HOF trajectories, as well as Machado. Correa is only 27 and already has 38 WAR. Lindor is 28 with 36 WAR. Too early to tell on all three, but for reference, other shortstops at the end of their age 28 season: Jeter 37 WAR Ernie Banks 42 WAR Luis Aparicio 22 WAR Barry Larkin 31 WAR Alan Trammell 37 WAR Ripken 50 WAR (wow)
  12. That would be awesome.
  13. To be fair, Arraez should've definitely caught both of those. He is a terrible first baseman.
  14. He was fine for the first inning. Problem was when he was sent out for a second inning. He even hit 100 on the gun in his first inning of work.
  15. He was not reportedly not touching triple digits until the shortened covid season. He did have the nasty splinker and good curve. He just couldn't stay healthy as a starter. When the twins traded for him he was sitting low 90's and touching mid 90's, but all over the place and had injury issues before. He was a wildcard for sure.
  16. Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling are both available.
  17. You're right there's not much. At least Glen Perkins was successful. Cory Luebke was good but injuries took him out of baseball. Meyer is on the injury road too.
  18. Lots of injuries, but no more than on the MLB club. SMW is pitching well. Really hoping Jordy Blaze turns it around.
  19. But the good pitching prospects are still here. Balazovic, Varland, Simeon Woods Richardson, Winder, Canterino, Raya, Enlow.
  20. Yeah they're well over the luxury tax threshold now.
  21. Miranda was arguably the best hitter in AAA last year. He seems to be doing pretty well so far. Steer is nowhere near the level of hitter Miranda was in the minors though.
  22. Exactly. Do this. TOR sold high on Austin Martin.
  23. CES also reportedly cannot play defense at any position. That's also concerning because he'd have to hit like Arraez or Miranda at the MLB level to have value.
  24. Theoretically Strotman and Enlow for Snell is a fair deal. I'd do that in a heartbeat.
