  1. I would say it will be a long time. If/when Buxton, Sano and Berrios are at great the Twin's won't pay them to stay or they won't want to stay and will go on to a winning team. Also they are not MN boys!
  2. Why do we need to go cheap? Didn't we go cheap at 1st? I see no reason to go cheap on pitching or DH even if it is for one year.
  3. . Making it to a one game play off and losing?
  4. Why can’t they sign Cruz as an everyday DH? How exciting it would be. Much of my frustration the last 10 years is we haven’t had a regular lineup. Who is the last real HR hitting DH we have had?
  5. Still a chance for Cruz? When was the last real DH we had? Thome?
  6. Why didn’t they go for Goldscmmidt?
  7. Got excited to see the name Schoop! The other guy haven't heard of.
  8. What about ticket sales going up because they sign someone like Bryce Harper or trade for someone like Trout? I know those are extremes but because we have had nothing in the last 10 years ticket sales are down or do you think they really don't care as long as they are making a profit. We think we deserve a competitive team and they want profits? Doesn't something have to give? Get us back on track, won't that increase ticket sales that leads to more profit? Was listening to MLB XM radio last night and they had Cards fans excited to go out and buy jerseys? When is the last time we had that excitement? Not since Target Field opened that I remember?
  9. No, I mean a Bryce Harper or at least be in the race to get that kind of player. All we get a players like Cron where we can speculate IF he is as good at last year or 10 years ago.....blah blah blah!
  10. Every year they are NOT ready to compete. That is most of my point. 2020 now and next year it will be 2021 because a couple of people won't work out. This is like year 10 of NOT getting the great competitive team we were PROMISED with a new stadium!
  11. This is the 2nd most depressing time of the year to be a Twins fan. I would at least like them to be in the bidding for some of the top players but from everything I have read it is not going to happen again! It will be wait until 2020 and so on an so on. Yes not much has happened but we are not even in the talks! The most depressing time is July when we are already out of it and sending our "stars" away.
  12. I know not much has officially happened but tons of predictions and talk and nothing the Twins are involved in.
  13. So far not much. This is a hard time of year for me watching all the wheeling and dealing for the top players and we have to wait to see what is left over. Probably more this year because they have enough money to at least be in the game.
  14. This is our debate every off-season while we watch other teams signing the good players and we have to debate over another "what if" player. That is all we ever get and it doesn't look like it will change. Imagine this headline and how awesome it would feel. Twins sign Bryce Harper!
  15. Dumpster diving 101 again. You can sugar coat it however you want but they get a player that an average to below average team doesn't want. How pathetic after getting rid of so much salary.
  16. Nearly in the playoffs in 2015 and a one game wild card is not making it to the play-offs. A successful play-off would be getting to the WS or a game 7 in the ALCS is what we need.
  17. Wooo hooo Michael Reed who? Like we need more outfielders
  18. Didn't we get a new stadium so we could afford a few high level talented players? Maybe there is no one to get or no one that will come to MN.
  19. So fill in until someone in the minors is ready? Cave, Austin, Kepler are not the players I would think of to replace Mauer. We may get a couple more HR's but we need way more than that. We need at least Rosario numbers there.
  20. Bring in a player that can hit 30+ home runs with 100+ RBI's. We don't always have to try to patch something together and hope it works. I know a bit of an exaggeration but my point is to get a great player not just someone who can fill in.
  21. Why do we always talk about going after the older players hoping for at least one more good season. It would be nice to have a really good player locked in. I do think Buxton and Sano will come back and be close to what we were expecting. I love Berrios and Romero with Gibson. I wish if they give any "older" player another shot that it would be Santana. I would agree with most and move Polanco to 2nd and get Escobar at SS. Sano is decent at 3rd. The really good player would be power hitter at 1st. Sign another good player for DH. I think the outfield is good with Rosario, Buxton and Kepler. I don't even know what they can do for the BP and a 5th starter.
  22. Announcers just said the Brewers manager played all his cards and it made me think we had a season without a single face card and a couple of jokers.
  23. If Mauer retires he went out still being a good MLB player and on his terms. Dozier on the other hand may be out and not on his terms and that is really sad. I think that my have been Belisle's last game too.
  24. I cried 3 times. That was super emotional and glad that if it ended it was at home. It sure seemed like his mind is made up.
