  1. Austidillo! Give him consistent playing time. Bench Kepler and let Willians play. He has better numbers and gives off good positive energy whenever and where ever he play. 200 less at bats then Kepler and only 10 fewer HRs.
  2. Is there something wrong with the Twins trainers/medical staff? Seems by the time our Twins pitchers get to the MLB they are already to the point of minor/major injuries. Are they not in shape? Is pitching that grueling that you would easily get an abdominal strain or a bruised finger?

All out Champions would be 1991 and the Twins right?
  4. They may have won the Division but did not win a play-off game. What's the fun in that. You could also argue the Central division is an easier Division. I was expecting them to easily win this year. FO bringing in Shoemaker and Happ were critical errors. Losing Berrios and potentially losing Buxton would be another reason.
  5. I hope so. I want to see Berrios pitch and win the the playoffs. If they get to play Tampa Bay want to see him pitch to Cruz. Haven't been this excited about a Twins game all year!
  6. Guess who this is: "The statistics provide proof that he was one of the most consistent players from his or any other era of the game. He only missed significant time due to injury twice, and he amassed 200 or more hits eight times."
  7. WS or it is a bust! Well maybe winning a series to start with but I think at least playing in the WS is what would feel like success.
  8. I found some fun in baseball again during this sad Twins season. Watching the AL East race for the playoffs is so exciting. Of course I am pulling for Toronto and hope either the Blue Jays or Rays go to the WS. Imagine Berrios pitching in the WS or Nelson Cruz up to bat. It is what we were supposed to have this year.
  9. How long should it take for a 1st round draft pick to make it to the MLB? Doesn't seem like many of our picks make an appearance and then when we do hit a good one they do not stay (Berrios and most likely Buxton). I would think a first rounder would be up in 3-4 years.
  10. It is nice to see the good competitive games we all love. Just a question.....by all this recent winning are they moving down in draft pick order? It doesn't seem like they could move to far either way.
  11. Not a fair weather fan at all. I have lost my patience. Just when it seems we are getting somewhere we go and trade away the best pitcher the one we have been waiting for for the last decade. Cruz is a fun player to watch. Happy that they are on team making a run for it. That is what I want. Not only do I want them to make a run for it but to actually win a series in post season. I can't believe I am the only one who is enjoying watching Cruz now and when TB is in the playoffs or Berrios helping Toronto make a push for the WC spot. That is what the Twins have been promising since 2010. And yes we won the division, while that is nice it doesn't do much good if you can't make it out of the division series (or at least win a game). I feel like we are back to 2010. For the last 5 years I have been afraid come payday they would let our guys go and it seems they are.
  12. How exciting for the Ray's fans to have Cruz. Also been fun to root for the Blue Jays for a Wild Card spot. I pay more attention to the Blue Jays than the Twins now. Happy for Berrios and Cruz to get out of the dreadful Twins organization. I am sure Buxton is counting down the days. This is what baseball is all about to me.
  13. How about Kepler? He seems to fly under the radar. The guy has a .210 batting average with only 41 RBIs for the whole season. I have heard he has a team friendly contract but a guy with a .210 batting average should be looked at for being replaced
  14. It depends on how you look at it. It has been disappointment since we moved to Target Field, the stadium that would allow us to field a competitive team. I think we all suffered from 2011 to 2018 to some degree. We may have won a few division titles but never got out of the first round of the play-offs. I don't count the Wild Card game as making the play-offs because they lost the game. What make this doom and gloom and possibly the worst ever is these are the years we are/were supposed to be ready to contend. No where near that now and now it sounds like a total rebuild that we just endured from 2011 to 2019. It is hard to look forward to another 8 years of rebuilding. The "Target Field Experience" is long gone. They blew it the last few years play-offs and all. I don't think we have any Game 7's to look forward to for a long time.
  15. Have there been any discussion about the Twins medical staff and the ability to keep players (mostly pitchers) healthy? So many injuries and the pitchers barely ever make it to the 7th inning so I don't think they could be contributed to overuse?
  16. The Saint's don't play pure baseball? It is a great game to watch. What do you mean by pure?
  17. Saints over Twins anytime. It is affordable and really a good time. Friday nights there are fireworks and just makes for a fun family baseball event.
  18. Worth it? Trades with NYY alway make me nervous. Luis Gil
  19. Why? We want good players. Who would you want instead?
  20. Why so much more willing to overlook Kepler? He is having a horrible year and I think last year wasn't great either? I like him fine but he doesn't seem to get the "attention" as others who struggle.
  21. Exactly. I am one of those who longs for a stable line-up. I have completely stopped watching. Hoping for a way to catch Berrios pitching tomorrow for Toronto otherwise absolutely no reason to watch. I can glance at Game Day if I want to or read the box scores tomorrow to keep up a little. IF Buxton comes back this year I could be enticed to watching regularly again. But you all probably know by now I have to watch on my iPad which I absolutely HATE.
  22. I have DishTV so that takes care of most of it. I did login using my daughters Xfinity account at the beginning of the year and now that Cruz and Berrios are gone and Buxton is out I have zero reason to watch Berrios pitches for Toronto tomorrow will at least GameDay that one. Extremely uncomfortable for me to watch in my iPad and I even have the larger one! My last comment is it is becoming too political. First there was the ASG being moved from Atlanta. The few weeks of the Derrick Chauvin trail was so tense, that I said no more news or social media and what do you know but they had a moment of silence for the other young man killed by the female officer who thought she was using a Taser. I am not on any side mostly because I am not cop and cannot fairly judge what she did. But first I see the George Floyd memorial on the wall and 5 minutes later a moment of silence and I got made because I turned on the game to watch baseball and not get all wound up about things like that
  23. Of course they are going to say they want to stay or "act" sad to leave. Buxton won't sign and Berrios made it clear he was going the free agent route. That is where I get my information from. If you were high caliber player wouldn't you want to go to a team that has a chance at the WS more than every 30 years or wins more 1 playoff game in 10? Also from my currently glass half empty view we are always one prospect away and when they finally go get a quality player they let them go for more prospects?
  24. Perhaps I am wrong but I heard players can have teams they can't be or do not want to be traded to in their contracts. The way Berrios and Buxton can't wait to get out of here tells me some of the players mentioned in the article and comments might have the Twins on the "you can't trade me there". First is that true? If it is do you think many of the all-star type players have the Twins on their list?
  25. So a HUGE miss one our 2017 #1 draft pick. That is pathetic!
