Normally I wouldn't talk about getting rid of a pitcher during a bad outing any more than I'd want to debate climate change because it's a hot day.

 

But Pelfrey pretty much melted both his polar icecaps tonight, I think.

By coincidence, just before I read that I reconsidered and decided I'd lobby for blaming the jinx on the joker who applauded Pelfrey's ERA briefly going below 5 in the first inning tonight.

It's an exception to the standard english-to-metric conversion rule, which is to "double it, and add 30".
