I know Giancarlo Stanton is not the player he once was when he was in his prime. The Twins could use a right handed power bat at DH.

They also need a right handed bat with Jeffers being a free agent and Buxton coming back from his back surgery.

The only problem is Giancarlo Stanton has a no Trade clause. The Marlins are still paying 10m and his remaining contract is 15m.

There's also a chance the Yankees could simply release him. I would offer them a prospect around #25 with the Yankees eating 5-10m.

If they could get him for 5m it would be a low risk high reward Trade. If he doesn't work out they could release him in mid May or June if he struggles.

Why would he want to come to the Twins?  He’s approaching the end of his career and I assume would like to have a chance at a World Series.

What other moves are made to have an opening for a primary DH? Is Keaschall moving back to the infield? Is Buxton not ready to play at all? Is Emma Rodriguez traded?

He still obviously hits the ball as hard as anyone.
