i had to look him up...played only 15 games with the Twins...several with Seattle...would that have been the Pilots late 70's/80's ?

Were the Mariners 1976 or was that the Seahawks? What the heck did people do on the beautiful Pacific Coast before 1976?

I am always afraid to state anything questionable on Buxton as there are some who thinks he walks on water, I have always supported him as a fan, but these injuries and having him not placed on the IL does not make sense. Yes, he did well before the all star break and deserves credit and praise,,,,,but his been batting average has been 132, OPS 246 OBP 246, SLG, 151, RBI 1....now there is a report where he may need surgery on the hip...if this had been anybody else, the person would be on the IL.

ill say it---   They have treated him like a Baby and do we even know how honest Byron has been, almost any other club wouldnt let 1 player dictate there teams construction -  Bring up Emma next week - and D.L.  byron !!!

Somebody just mentioned the 10 day DL...and what if he may be okay after a few days. I think that it is questionable based on his performance. I will not call him a baby as I respect him, but I do believe that he should have asked for or not have rejected a stint at St Paul upon his being released from the IL. It is possible that appearing in his 1st game back being the Field of Dreams was influential to him. If he is not 100%.....he also should stand up and state the IL being important. I do not believe that he would have had this luxury on other teams..being treated with kid gloves. If it looks like he will need surgery on his hip, why is he playing... which could only make things worse...especially if the Twins look as if they will not make the playoffs.

Also respect him, but be real when is enough enough ?  this has been goin on for years, he has hardly never been a factor down the stretch or his 7 total at bats in playoffs , see a real hip dr, and figure out whats best , cause this is only hurting the TEAM !!

Every other club would have deferred the same way.  I am just as frustrated with the back and forth.  But Buxton is our star player regardless of how many games he plays both on talent and contract.  There is a pecking order in baseball just like any industry and the top guys get more consideration than the guys at the bottom.

Byron is trying to play because he wants to help the team, which is admirable.  This is where Shelton needs to step in and say it's not helping when we can't count you on a regular basis.

Kinda cool to see  5 # 1  Draft picks in the lineup tonight,  Brooks been hitting okay-Lewis and Larnach need to help more ,  K.C.-Jenkins is good to see -  Luke and Jeffers were 2nd rd-- alot of Home grown ---GO Twins

Just curious, really: is the Jesus Won shirt that Jenkins was wearing (in Twins-like font) typically allowed by MLB to be worn like it was during on-the-field drills? Looks like team apparel at first glance imo.

Quite the pre-game hype show. Big expectations for the youngster.

How about a routine flyball to CF so Jenkins can get rid of the nerves right away...
