College in Vermillion.  Went to Sioux City almost every Thursday afternoon due to to the more reasonable liquor store age requirement.

A ‘Yote! Good for you! But I always thought you were a east coast guy??

They need to man up and tell Buxton he is done for this year.

I wonder about Buxton if he is dictating when he thinks he can come back.  As much as he is hurt, I would think the trainers would have a bigger voice than they do.  Almost to save Buxton from himself.

WALNUT CREEK, Larnach...that is a wealthy area of EAST BAY

I lived in Pleasant Hill for one year, which is the next town north, and I don't recall it being especially tony.  But I was a teen and maybe didn't catch the nuances.

Still not a destination city.  North Sioux City was when Gateway was there building computers.  The only thing you wait for in Sioux City when you're on I-29 is when you can get away from the smell of the meat processing plants.  Stopped at Hard Rock Casino there one night.  Didn't really like the smoking when you've been used to no smoking establishments for so long.  The Sioux City Sarsaparillas were just distributed in the area where I grew up.  They were a nice treat as we could only get them in a couple places in the area.

My first laptop was a Gateway! What happened to them?

I hope Audra's remarks aren't a foreshadowing of what is going to happen this weekend.  The comment from Buck about hopefully a couple of days of treatment and he will be good to go.  They need to get a more definitive plan than that.

I am not sure it is that easy, but they have to convince him missing multiple games is not helping the team.  We could send down Jackson and put Buxton on the Jackson plan until he is healthy.  They have no concerns about sitting a guy on the bench and not using him, put Buxton in that role.

I was at the Twins/As games last year. I will most certainly be there next year...the last in SAC TOWN for the As. If you want to get an up close and surreal experience for a Twins game, take a trip to it, First time that I had a chance to actually speak with the players before the game (during with the relievers...spoke with Lou). I congratulated Royce after the game, and he looked at me and said Thank you. The bullpen catcher was having conversations with the kids who were next to the bullpen. It is a shabby stadium, but an experience that a true fan cannot get anywhere else during the season.

I honestly thought they were bought out by Dell.  I had to look it up and they were bought out by Acer around 2007.  Didn't adapt to changing industry and the easy availability of computers just didn't fit their business model of largely shipping to customers.

It's an issue of pain tolerance, he was moving around well on Monday.  So I am not sure there is much the trainers can say.  He is not 100%, there is no doubt about that, but what percentage is he.  It comes down to convincing him he is not helping the team right now.

My senior year of high school in ‘74…our uniforms looked exactly like the A’s are wearing tonight.

But they were the gawd awful double knit which were supposed to be the new best ever material…. better than the wool old ones but still not that great

The A's are doing the one thing the Twins are scared to do, using their second catcher as a DH without a 3rd catcher on the bench.  You would almost think that maybe the Twins aren't as smart as they think they are.

I don't think they are going to tell him, Shelton seems to have a good rapport, he needs to convince him.  They have shown him great deference not just this year but in prior years as well.  And if he is only dinged up and the doctors say he can play, you can't just put him on the IL.  I would really like to know what the doctors are saying.
