Tommy John innings pitched after surgery: 2544.2
Tommy John innings pitched before surgery: 2165.2

Active leaders in innings pitched:

  1. Justin Verlander: 3571.1
  2. Max Scherzer: 3004.0
  3. Chris Sale: 2213.0
  4. Jose Quintana: 2141.

I also like how his baseball-reference.com page says: "1975  Did not play - Eponymous Surgical Procedure."

The big brick building in Cooperstown says, "National Hall of FAME," not "National Hall of Best Players." In my mind, TJ was close enough to making it as a player that the TJS puts him over the top for inclusion.

As often as Keaschall has been caught stealing , here of late, I think he is showing his hand or the opposition has better catchers than we do.

everyone knew he was running there ,  needs to be more selective

Can someone explain to me why the Twins received one?

The wussification of baseball.

Fully agree. HOF..besides the surgery...an underwear company was named after him. His Wikipedia page is full of highlights.

Keaschall really is a butcher in the field...

Thank you. I was just going to ask if that was an odd hit or Keaschall is a not good Right Fielder.

He is a complete liability. His bat isn't good enough to paper over his inability to play any position.

He’s going to make a great DH someday though!

Putting Keaschall at DH and Bell at First would be less a liability than leaving Keaschall in the outfield.

The scales are still balancing on that.

He has been our best hitter for the last month and a half.  And he has played 19 games in RF.  Maybe show some patience because we are going to win more games with Luke in the lineup than without.
