Definitely one of those things where stats only say so much - in the last month he’s had 5 homeruns, including the crazy game winning Grand Slam that I still can’t believe I had the pleasure of seeing.

I have no idea what you are looking at, 4th in OPS coming into today, and 8th in batting average,  His stats are almost similar to Lee's and yet Lee gets bounced around anywhere from 2nd to 8th in the order.  Yet Clemens is batting 4th even in the middle of a massive slump.  Hopefully he is breaking out, but I want it in more than one game.

NOT even a tiny comparison.  Arraez was not as good at 2nd as some of his team mates; he was not absolutely lousy like Keaschall is.

He's actually 4 homeruns and two were in the same game on July 18th almost a month ago.  So yes he has been in a slump.

Should have called up Jenkins and put Buxton on rehab assignment. He is not ready.  He hasn't hit since all star break.  He may still be hurt

I was counting coming into today.  But if you defend him hitting in the #4 spot, you go ahead.  But this is why this team is a sub .500 and remain one.  Clemens is not a cornerstone player they are treating him.  He will have a couple of good months same as last year and when he slumps, he slumps badly.  He needs to play three to four days a week that is where he will be most successful in helping a team win.
