Can’t give up hit to number 9 hitter with 2 outs/2 strikes😡🤬😤Tie it up only to give it back-need to win this and stay over .500 rest of season

Not sure I agree. It was a tiny bobble and they weren’t that close to getting Swanson.

I didn't think they would get Swanson even if it was a clean pick.  Swanson is one of the fastest players in the league.

EDIT:  All Bradley had to do was be aggressive to Amaya and the inning would have been over, regardless of the fielding behind him.  Should have got it done with a nine hitter that runs slow.

3-1

Martin has a better than average eye, but he is lousy at protecting the plate and fouling off close pitches with 2 strikes to extend his at bat. Wants to risk and hope for the walk on pitches too close.

I mean, it didn’t hit the dirt. That’s what I would consider a tiny bobble.

And if that ball had made it to the outfield it would be 4-1

And if Bradley had pitched to Amaya like he should have, we wouldn't be having this discussion.  Bradley has more control on how he pitches than Lee has in trying to start a double play.  Double plays are never guaranteed and even less so when you have an above average runner out of the box.

And if we could hit LHPs the pitchers might have some breathing room and not have to walk a tightrope every inning.
