Per Bobby N:

Luke Keaschall, who played an inning in the outfield in Arizona, will likely begin to see more time out there, Derek Shelton said.

Keaschall is out of the lineup today against Shohei Ohtani (Tristan Gray starting at 2B). Keaschall did pregame work in right field.

Are they just using a dart board to determine defensive positions.  First they have Keaschall take grounders at 1B, now it's Right Field. I know he had a rough night last night, have some confidence in him.  Are they seriously going to play Gray ahead of him.

Can't give away two, three runs a game and be taken even semi seriously.

He's not doing that every game.  He actually had a few good games before that.  I am not defending his defense but how about work with him rather than moving him around.  They have no other legitimate options to play second right now.

So Grey can complete a play!

I did a little golf clap. But we're down 1-0.  Please Mr Caratini 🙏

Now there's a message delivered.  "Son, I'm sitting you in this game in favor of Tristan Gray. For his defense. Yeah, think about that. Take all the time you need."

And was Gray sat immediately after all his defensive miscues, including an obstruction call.  It feels like a different standard for the younger players.

I don't think it's fair to act like last night was Keasch's first night with mistakes. We've been saying for weeks that Luke's been struggling.
