With the calendar turning toward the final week of spring training, the Minnesota Twins continue to narrow down their roster. On Tuesday, the club reassigned three more non-roster position players to minor league camp, signaling that decisions are becoming more real with each passing day.

Outfielders Kala’i Rosario and Kyler Fedko, along with infielder Tanner Schobel, were the latest cuts. Rosario and Fedko were among a group of Twins prospects announced for the team’s Spring Breakout game on Thursday. The moves come just ahead of an off day on Wednesday, March 18, and leave the Twins with 21 position players remaining in big league camp. That group still includes a handful of non-roster invitees, but the competition is clearly tightening.

Rosario may have made the strongest impression of the trio this spring. The 23-year-old went 5-for-15 in Grapefruit League action, showing some pop with a home run and driving in four. He also drew three walks, though the seven strikeouts highlight the continued development needed in his offensive approach. A fifth-round pick in 2020, Rosario finished last season at Double-A and remains an intriguing power bat in the system.

Fedko, 26, brings versatility with experience at both first base and the outfield, but his spring numbers did not jump off the page. He collected three hits in 23 at-bats while striking out eight times. After splitting last season between Double- and Triple-A, he looks ticketed to provide organizational depth at the upper levels.

Schobel, a 2022 second-round pick, also flashed some ability despite limited opportunities. The 24-year-old recorded two hits in 15 at-bats, including a home run, while working three walks. He reached Triple-A last season, and the Twins have continued to challenge him with aggressive assignments since drafting him.

At this stage of camp, these moves are less about performance and more about roster realities. The Twins need to allocate at-bats and innings to players still competing for Opening Day roles, and that often means sending promising but not quite ready contributors back to the minor league side.

None of Rosario, Fedko, or Schobel was expected to break camp with the major league club, but all three remain firmly in the picture for 2026. Each should factor into Triple-A depth at St Paul, positioning themselves as potential call-up options when injuries or roster needs inevitably arise during the season.

I was hoping that Fedko would force himself into the outfield conversation. I would say that he was pretty unimpressive in limited opportunities.

I’ve thought that Rosario should be traded for a couple years as a bat-first RH corner outfielder, but he’s progressed and shows potential as he’s advanced. On top of that. last year he stole a bunch of bases, so he’s probably not slow and might develop into a decent outfielder.

Schobel will probably get a shot this year and it looks like he has some skills.

Fedko's a non-prospect, but he had a great performance at AA last year, and Kala'i Rosario is fringey so I think the Twins probably just wanted to get a closer look at them to see if anything's been overlooked. I don't believe either had even a 1% shot at making the 40 man, but this spring invite may have influenced how the team will view them throughout the year even if they put up good seasons.

Schobel's a comp-B pick from 2022, with a slow promotion cycle (not sure why the article think he's been challenged by the Twins... just challenged to hit). Promotion, struggle, repeat, looks better in his 2nd or 3rd go 'round. Also a borderline non-prospect at this point entering his age 25 season. He really needs to shine this year quickly in AAA if he ever wants to have his number called.

They're all non-prospects.  Fedko is the best, and he also maybe could fill in for Martin for a while.  If the Twins can trade Jackson, that opens up a 40 spot.

Jackson would open a spot, but as many as four or five non-roster guys will need to be added to the team. The Twins will be very busy before Opening Day.

Im sure it will be interesting to see which players make the 26 man roster.  But after 6 decades of following Twins baseball i have never seen or felt this much apathy for the Twins.  I certainly understand it and agree.  There is very little here to get excited about or even interested in.  The question will be when will they be eliminated from any serious contention thoughts.  Also will they lose 100 games.  Maybe set another new attendance low at Target Field.  It is so sad what has happened to our Twins!!

No matter how things shake out this is a last place team in the central. The starting rotation doesn't look good with Ryan already having an issue in the spring and Ober's velocity way down. And Zebby and SWR still not looking like they want a spot. Then looking at the BP not much to see there either. Hopefully with Buxton back for the last week of camp he can help get players and fans fired up. And getting excited about 26 and 27 year old players trying to move up to the big club is a waste of time.

Five decades for me and ditto with the apathy.   Season ticket holden since 2010 who did not renew this year,  Right now not a lot of faith or trust with the organization.  70 wins will be a challenge this year.
