Old Friend Noah Davis is pitching for the Pirates and he is looking like he did with the Twins last year

Paul Molitor was a bit concerned that Martin came out of the game after diving for a ball in the field

I’m not watching the game, but I see on gameday, Keaschall got hit by a pitch than was replaced for a pinch runner. Anything to be concerned about?

How bad was Keaschall plunked?

The IL might decide the final roster. Really enjoying Molitor on the broadcast. Makes his point succinctly and lets the broadcast breathe. You can actually hear the sounds of the ballpark.

Keaschall was lightly grazed by the pitch and didnt appear to be hurt.

Thank you. Ouch a concussion for Austin Martin... That's a damn shame

Molitor really is excellent. Glad we get him in the TV booth for some games this year (I'm guessing around 10)

The last few years it seems to be something like:
Morneau - 40%
Perkins - 20%
Another guy - 15%
Another guy - 10%
3 other guys - 5% each (one road trip of 6/7 games)

I'm guessing Molitor will be the 10/15% guy with the majority of them over the summer when Morneau is spending time with his kids.

No.  I didn’t even think it hit him.

Yes, he thought Martin got up slow and that he might have jammed his wrist. Martin batted in the bottom of the inning, had a bloop single and scored, but didn’t go back out for the next inning. Neither Molitor or Provus noted Martin went out of the game until Outman batted in the bottom half of the inning.

A couple of the most obscure ex-Twins pitched for Pittsburgh. Beau Burrows compiled a 12.54 ERA in five forgettable appearances for the ‘21 Twins.

Twins win!

8-14 is the record; -27 run differential.

I have no idea if it would be better or worse, but I wonder what the Twins run differential would be if you only counted the first 6 innings

Austin Martin exited today’s spring training game because of a concussion, the Twins announced.

Concussion.  Wonderful.

Schobel made a couple of nice defensive plays and has a little pop. I wish he could play a little SS as he could be a utility guy. Gray and Kreidler look like they could go a month without getting a hit.

Looks like Wallner, Jeffers and Keaschall are heating up.

Jeffers blooped a pair of singles yesterday, but didn't hit the ball hard. Keaschall and Wallner had very good at-bats.

The games I went to Jeffers was hitting better. So, basing my comment over a few games and not just yesterday

Giolito or let the young guys throw?

Young guys.  TC is too low budget to free agent their way out of this hole they have dug.
