I'd be thrilled if he turned it around. Seems like that's the best case scenario, actually.

I don't know if I was clear but I meant the Vikes could get one of the three QBs, not necessarily the third one.

Sure, but historically the Vikings have been satisfied with getting the not-top-QBs in the drafts. Even though they rarely draft one. Last time they settled for the fifth QB drafted even if he was the consensus fourth QB overall. Don't settle for that crap, go get one of your two top choices. Really close to demanding they go get their top chose, period.

And by they, I don't mean KAM. He can go find Van Ginkles, Greenards and Cashmans. Leave the drafting to someone else.

As many as it takes to find one better than Gabriel and sanders. Also might be getting a new coach too

This is also one of the pitfalls of going the route of drafting a guy. As bad as this year is and we still have to hope 5 teams ahead of us win games when they’re even worse than we are. And then maybe that guy will work out for us, if we even get him.

Agreed. McCarthy needs to start.

J.J. Starting to remind me of B.B. =Buxton,   how do ever know if he is always nicked up ??

I finally saw the Brosmer pick 6. Man that’s one of the funniest throws I’ve ever seen 😂

I was wondering how you could throw an 84 yard pick 6 when the ball started at the 4. Now I know

What has happened to this board today, isn't being bad good and what most of us have wanted? If these young QBs weren't embarrassing, they'd probably stick with them longer than they should. Hasn't most of the board been saying all year long that being bad is better than being average?

Plus, Wentz surprisingly wasn't embarrassing.

Also, KAM should be fired.

They weren't making playoffs 4 weeks ago so being bad is good draft wise as long as they stay bad and don't win another game.

Being bad would be better if JJMc could stay healthy to evaluate if he is bad or good. He can't stay healthy which obviously is bad because he can't be evaluated to see if he is good.

KAM should be fired and should have definitely been fired before the most recent draft.  They can't let him control another one.

This year's FA signings have been brutal. Sigh. At the least they will cut three of them.

Is Pace playing much, or done? He's a free agent after this year, right?

He played 6 plays on defense but played on ST units. He's a restricted free agent so we can either get a draft pick or match the offer, IIRC. I could see him coming back as depth but not as a starter.

Hopefully someone is telling him (after apologizing for the QB room) to just bite your lip the next 5 games and they’ll get a NFL competent quarterback in next season.

It's been a very long time since I felt like this team is hopeless. We're so bad that Justin Jefferson, one of the least anti-diva WRs in history, will ask for a trade because the QB play is so terrible. Addison I expect because he's a money first moron, but now it's that bad where Jefferson can't even take it.

That's the only way he will stay here. The only way.

I'm happy to add his lack of health as a key part of his evaluation.

McCarthy has had six starts. Trey Lance only got four. And Lance didn't actually play bad, he just clearly played with inexperience and was often injured. If the Vikings have any stones, they'll pull the plug too. And if things are bad enough, the heat will be high enough and hopefully it won't take stones because the pressure will be too great to make any other choice.

Try again. Two years was supposed to be the limit anyway. If his health impacted on field evaluations, tough, it's part of the game and should be part of the evaluation.

This is really unfair to Addison. Jefferson got paid. Addison should also. Just not by this team.

He’s also been a big off the field PITA

Weird to defend a guy who has had 2 vehicular incidents (speeding over 90 MPH over the speed limit and literally falling asleep on the busiest highway in America because he was so high) plus ditching the team in London. But you do you man.

I think the main takeaway with all that is that these guys really do have low tolerance levels for crap. Even justin. He had a career year from a guy just last season. Yeah this season has been bad for him because of the qb situation, but even he turned fast. 12 games? Not much. Funny to compare it to baseball. Pitchers have statistically shorter careers than NFL players and I can’t imagine a pitcher asking for a trade after his team had a bad 3/4 of a season

I thought you were only taking about the money part. I have zero tolerance for the rest, agreed. Misunderstood your point.

What does pull the plug mean? Start Brosmer again? Find some QB on the street? They only have one real option - start JJ and go from there.

And isn't the Trey Lance situation the exact opposite of what you've been clamoring for? They had their Sam Darnold under contract - Jimmy G - who played well but they named Lance the starter in 2022 anyway. He immediately got hurt for the season and, after Jimmy G got hurt again, Brock Purdy led them to the NFC Championship game. Not really the same situation the Vikes have.

Just watched the interception return. Holy hell.

Also, just run the ball. But. Wow.

I feel for him, he worked his whole life and that will probably be his lasting memory in the NFL 😂

There is no reason for him not to demand a trade if they can't commit to something better

A character like that deserves multi millions right?

He'll get it from some team. Whether we think he deserves it or not. I'd trade him because I wouldn't pay him even if Jefferson weren't here. For the same reasons you wouldn't.

I would have traded him before this year. At the deadline. This off season. They won't be paying him, they shouldn't pay him, he should be traded.

Fair, but like I said. Last year they got him a qb in FA who had a career year. This year they totally bungled it. I think the Vikings try to be competitive in a way I can’t say about the twins, for instance. There should be some leeway IMO
