Boone is trusting the young man Schlittler to pitch the 6th

He's had 2 good starts now in the playoffs  , lots of young pitchers pitching important games , that Melton kid with Detroit , Misiorowski with the brewers ,  all are young and with little major league experience  and doing very well ...

Yesavage with Toronto too ...

Must be nice to have a real pitching pipeline

I know I'm supposed to hate all things Dodger, but Mookie Betts is a treasure.  Who moves up the defensive spectrum in their 30s?  Now getting the party started with a triple

from 2b to the outfield and now at S.S.   -  Big time player

I hadn't heard of Schlitter before the playoffs, but he looks legit.

He pitched twice against the Twins:

8/13/25 - 5 IP, 1/1 R/ER, 6/2 K/BB; MIN 4 NYY 1. Clemens hit a 2 run 2B and Lewis hit an RBI 2B in the 6th

9/16/25 - 4.2 IP, 4/4 R/ER, 6/5 K/BB, 1 HR; NYY 10 MIN 9. Outman hit a 2 run HR. This was the game that Rocco allowed Zebby to give up 9 runs in 3 innings and the team almost came back to win...

When the Yankees added Doval and Bednar at the trade deadline, they were supposed to have one of the best bullpens in baseball. Their bullpen is really having troubles today, and towards the end of the year.

I hate giving any compliment to the Yankees, but Boone rode the hot hand tonight as long as he could in Schlittler. I respect him for that

If a ball is hit so hard and far that it stays in orbit and never lands, is it technically a homer?  Asking for a Schwarber

Gonna be fascinating how much money he gets this offseason. One of the all time blunders for the Cubs to non tender him

And maybe for Phillies fans to boo him... at home.... in a play-off game....in a series that Turner and Harper are struggling....(though so is he to be honest...)...
