25 years? That's like owners and GMs and coaches and hundreds of players ago. I'm not watching that click bait.

I would bet we are bottom 10 in arrests over the last 10 years.

Go ahead and put your own video together. For me it’s not that the Vikings are 1 or 20, but add up the arrests of players. That’s a lot. And would bet most of the arrests are drug/alcohol related or domestic violence related.

I hate so much about the NFL, even while still watching it, but arrests leaguewide are way down from 15-20 years ago. Still, I know it seems like a lot of players get arrested, but it's pretty much in line with everyone else in the country. Nationwide arrest rates are 2.23%, with 70 players per team, that's 1.5 players per year getting arrested, which sounds about right for the Vikings.

And really, that's an improvement based on demographics because these players are 20-40 year old males, which makes up the overwhelming majority of arrests in the nation. And that's not even including the economic and racial background of these young men. In context, these guys are better behaved than society as a whole.

Also, siiiiiigh, credit to Mike Zimmer. As stubborn, surly and increasingly unlikeable as he became, he absolutely brought in a culture of accountability. There was a clear line after his 1st season in 2014 when arrests started tapering off.

Phenomenal post, and completely accurate.  The only reason there's a perception that NFL players are constantly getting arrested is because it ALWAYS gets reported( and then stays in sports reporting for quite some time), and because the names are recognizable.  Textbook confirmation bias.
