Ya know, I'f I'm the manager, I think I would put C4 batting ninth, just to piss him off. Weirder things have worked,

Someone have some trash can lids?

Festa still 0.00 era for 2025.

Thinking on this, 1968 Bob Gibson had an era of 1.12, how the heck did he lose 9 games?

Always on base (Keaschall).

Laz Diaz having a really tough game behind the plate.

Pretty much par for the course with him...

Maybe Gibson had an offense similar to the twins offense this year.

Everyone's offense was similar to the Twins that year.  It's why they lowered the mound the next year

Yeah, but still . . . 1.12?

Of Gibson's nine losses in 1968, five were by one run and three were by two. His worst defeat was 5-1 to Ferguson Jenkins and the Cubs.

Note that MLB was aware the delicate balance of the game itself was out of whack... offense was a problem. They made an attempt to do something about it.

MLB doesn't have to just live with this abominable TTO situation. Do something about it.

It was the "Year of the Pitcher" and the mound was lowered the next year. McLain won 30 games, Gibson had the low ERA and a lot of guys set career highs or lows. I believe Carl Yastrzemski won a batting title with a .301 average, the only guy above .300 in the AL.

Just a note from last nights game, Julien played an excellent second base.

He hasn't been a problem all season, if you ask me.

He's got bad hands, but he's obviously worked on his defense, to the point where it appears to be acceptable.
