Same. I'm even more liberal. It's about his dad.....

Yeah, I don't want my favorite team having to deal with the circus that will come with the player. So many ways to absolutely poison the locker room and fan base, all because of what his dad does and says..

As for his on the field ability; I think his ceiling is that of the dreaded 'game manager'. He doesn't have the big arm or elusiveness to be the improvising gun-slinger type. Probably a higher floor than the other QBs, but I don't see any chance he has the upside to carry a team to a championship, he just doesn't have the physical tools.

If Shedeur’s last name was anything besides Sanders, he wouldn’t have received the hype he did from the media. The league has spoken and they never viewed him as anything more than backup material.

At this point, I wonder if he goes undrafted and he tries to challenge going back to college for 1 more year. Who’s gonna want to take on that circus with a 4-7 round pick?

Give me Skattebo!!!!!

Agreed. I’m looking at safety and RB for us…

S - Watts and Woodson

RB - Skattebo, Tuten, and Martinez

Edit: I see TE Gunnar Helm is still around too and that’s tempting

Right. Or the University of Colorado for that matter. I mean they were one of the most talked about teams in the nation despite being in an average team in a bad conference. If they truly have the two best players in the country, they go undefeated in that conference. Instead they lost to the only good teams they played and beat FCS NDSU by 4 yards. Yes, 4 yards.

Meanwhile, no one talked about Jaxson Dart until two weeks ago despite him leading Ole Miss to back-to-back ten win seasons for the first time in 65 years in a brutal SEC, while putting up similar passing numbers and having actual mobility assets. That's not so much a Dart promotion as it is saying that Sanders never had any legit reason to get more hype than these other uninspiring QBs in this class.

I know you guys want the thumpers, but I think that's Aaron Jones now. I'm still betting on them going after a shifty pass catcher.

But I'm not putting more money on that than I am on them skipping a meaningful RB pick all together and disappointing us.

Also, come on Steelers. I like Tomlin and I like the organization, but they are SO STUBBORN. Kaleb Johnson? So they finally part ways with Najee Harris, who was fine, but not a feature back in an offense that stubbornly wants to only run the ball. Then they draft a Najee Harris clone? I'm sure Johnson will be *fine, but if they refuse to develop a passing game, you better do more than fine running the ball.

The Vikings got sniped at the very end. I bet we would have stuck and picked Xavier Watts but ATL jumped ahead of us

Wait, they weren't just going to replace Harrison Smith by drafting a safety, but by drafting another Notre Dame safety?!?

That does sound about right.

But I like the trade. 142 will still have some interesting names, More than 187.

Ugh. I stand by everything I just said about Shedeur Sanders above.

But......if he sits for a year without making a scene, I bet you can flip him for a late 1st next year due to the KOC hype, even if that hype is misplaced.

Screw that, go get somebody I want!

OK, WR wasn't what I was thinking, but the last Maryland WR they drafted worked out pretty well.

There wasn't a lot available there. He'll push Nailor, if nothing else.

I'm sure you don't mean it that way but that's exactly the argument that kept Kapernick out of the game. Although, in that case, it was actually based on what the player did rather than his father.

Felton was a bit of a reach on my board, but the production and measurables were very strong so I'll ignore the low grades from the draftniks and say that I like this pick. Maybe he can push Nailor for WR3 and add some depth, as I don't trust Rondale Moore and there's nothing behind Nailor/Moore.

Even without the Sanders name, he's head and shoulders better than Dillon Gabriel, who is a borderline-draftable QB who is way worse in every respect that the Browns blew a 3rd on. He was at the very least worth a 3rd round pick, similar to how Malik Willis and Desmond Ridder wound up in 2022. If I had a 4th round pick, I'd bet on him, the kid will be motivated and have a massive chip on his shoulder. That's if they can keep the Deion circus away, of course, which is why he's still sitting out there.

Sanders is weak armed but accurate not mobile and an over hyped media creation.  I'm shocked the Jets didn't jump on him in the 1st round.

Shough and Dart before Sanders. Man, the NFL is racist AF.

Its not because Sanders is black. Sanders has baggage. No one wants to manage that baggage.

Felton is a gamer but needs to develop better route running. If he develops along side Addison and J Jets, the pick will be an absolute HR.  I liked the TE from Texas better but a skill player is nice to have in the house. Farmer would have also been a nice pick on the DL.
