Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 If he takes it back to Rochester, won't he have to pay the dropoff fee? Back to Louisville from whence it came.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 We consciously walk a tightrope on that, but I do feel more concern about getting gender-unfriendly - it's quite the sausage-fest here most days and I take as much blame as anybody. I think you give your sausage too much credit.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Sometimes I wish that TD members could read the moderator forum and see how hard we are working to try to find a maintain a balance between letting people post what they want and maintaining the spirit of TD policy. in all seriousness... I think if we avoid calling each other idiots... It will all work out.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Back to Louisville from whence it came.Exactly.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I had to look up Matt Albers, to find that his hometown is nowhere near Andrew (who hails from Saskatchewan, dontchewknow.)
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Back to Louisville from whence it came. So nice, you said it twice?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 in all seriousness... I think if we avoid calling each idiots... It will all work out.Yup. Just one man's opinion, but for my money TD would be a better place if the moderators would...moderate themselves...just a bit.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Its Ok... He's Canadian!!! They make fun of everyone equally. Except Americans. They make fun of Americans more than anyone else.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 in all seriousness... I think if we avoid calling each idiots... It will all work out. That's the heart of the policy.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Except Americans. They make fun of Americans more than anyone else. And deservedly so - and I say that as an American.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Except Americans. They make fun of Americans more than anyone else. Welcome back. I thought you would be at the symphony by now.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 And deservedly so - and I say that as an American. I lived in Ottawa for a few years ... I know first hand.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 I had to look up Matt Albers, to find that his hometown is nowhere near Andrew (who hails from Saskatchewan, dontchewknow.) Andrew Albers is from Saskatchewan? Well... I guess Grand Forks should claim him as well.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Wait...what's this all aboot? Out of all the things people poke fun at Canadians for I've never gotten this one. I've never heard anyone say aboot. Ever.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Except Americans. They make fun of Americans more than anyone else. I thought you went to work! Oh, to have a job where I work an hour a day.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Except Americans. They make fun of Americans more than anyone else. If I was Canadian... I would to. Of course... I would be slurring my words so the message may get lost.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I thought you went to work! Oh, to have a job where I work an hour a day. I am at work. But am just waiting for the concert to start in 10 mins.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Urban Dictionary: sausage fest If you had another meaning in mind, well, I do have an appointment with the doctor this week. Whatever you do, don't look up "rocketpig" in the urban dictionary.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 For the second time today Doumit is wondering why he ever decided to be a catcher.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Meanwhile, Fien gave us a nice inning in the sixth. Looks like I put a curse on the nice young man. Good thing the Hammer plated that insurance run.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Andrew Albers is from Saskatchewan? Well... I guess Grand Forks should claim him as well. I won't be claiming anyone from Saskabush.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 That could have been disastrous.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Out of all the things people poke fun at Canadians for I've never gotten this one. I've never heard anyone say aboot. Ever. The only reason Moose Jaw is called Moose Jaw is because you couldn't pronounce Moosoochapiskun. You looked at it blurry eyed with a Molson in one hand and thought for a second... Even tried to mouth the word silently... Looked again... Raised your hand in Victory and Shouted Moose Jaw!!! And your fellow Canadians raised their Molsons and LaBatts... Shouted Moose Jaw!!! And a town was born.

It's some regional thing - I think an area heavily settled by the Scots. Must not be near you. Because it's no exaggeration whatsoever, when you run into one of these folks, it rhymes with footwear.
