I guess he’s the Veteran in the Clubhouse Guy. He’s not a plus fielder anymore, so you’d hope that he’d at least hold his own at the plate. 160 at bats at .189 is a pretty big millstone around the neck of this team unfortunately.

If Farmer is in the clubhouse or in the dugout it should be as a bench coach, but not as an active player.
