Robert Floren Verified Member Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Great game and series. Now the Twins know they can beat anyone, including the NYY if they face them post-season. Craig Arko 1

And a front office that is happy with a .500 team? I'm not allowed to have a different opinion than your echo chamber? Rocco is well above .500, and you probably wouldn't want to apply that winning standard to other managers from Twins history I don't think.

Managers have 100 percent control over their own decisions. Youre comparing apples and oranges. When a player repeatedly fails, he gets replaced. I ask for the manager to be held to the same standard. And for the record, the only person who came on thr game thread AFTER a walk off win to slap down other posters was you. A manager's decision, by definition, requires relying on players to perform. So no, it's apples to apples.

Why is bunting not viable, whenever it is a possibility? because it is shown to be a terrible strategy before the 8th inning....or 7th....

A 66.7 MPH grounder up the middle with an xBA of .060 against a drawn in infield is not too inspiring....but I do hope he stays hot and helps lead the team to the playoffs (he had a nice series; 5-11 3 runs and 3 RBI).

Would you prefer everyone to sit on their hands and live in an echo chamber? Boring We won. That’s what I want, that’s what I got. That should be fun for everyone, but it’s not. For some it’s just reached points of irrational fervor to bitch and moan about everything. No, that isn’t what game threads are for but it is what they’ve become thanks to a couple of people who seem to find joy in stoking the hate. Yeah, some of Rocco’s decisions baffle and frustrate me, too, and I just wonder. But if we win, credit is due. If the manager is responsible for all that is wrong he’s responsible for all that is right, too. Something is working for us to beat the best team without our best players. Yeah, probably helps that maybe Philly has hit a downturn. But every once in a while, why don’t you see the game through before all the hate casting. What’s boring are the same old unimaginative and incorrect ignorant comments each and every game thread ad nauseam about analytics, the lineups, taking out pitchers too early, etc … jaimedude, Mike Sixel, CCHOF5yearstoolate and 1 other 3 1
