The good old days of clear channel AM radio

WHO Des Moines, "coast to coast, border to border and then some," got me hooked on the Twins when they were part of the network.

I lived two hours away from Des Moines, so I didn't need the range, but I do remember listening to Iowa basketball games on a Christmas trip to relatives in Florida.

Totally mitigates the (thus far) disappointing season of Alex Kirilloff.

It's pretty incredible the difference between when you're fighting injury and when you're fully healthy.  We've seen it now with so many players on this team in the last 2-3 seasons (Larnach, Kiriloff multiple times, Ryan, Correa, Buxton, Miranda off top of my head) where they press and press to either mask the injury or show they can overcome it and then drop into bad habits.  When they get healthy, they're leaps and bounds better.  Miranda's plate discipline and how he's seeing the ball has been light years better this year than what we saw out of him in his stint last year.

Used to listen to WCCO at night when I traveled late night for Hobbs House; in my hell raising years KAAY from Little Rock  with Beaker Street and then Beaker Theater was on for many bottles of Southern Comfort and cases of beer during late night champagne flites.

Though I griped about the late start, the one redeeming fact is that it’s a rare opportunity to actually watch a game, since it’s the late night regional game on MLB Network and I’m in the Tiger blackout area, so it’s the only game they can give me.

Gonna take a good effort from the bullpen to win this. Pablo will be lucky to get through five.

Good thing we didn't use up the top end last night

Beaker Street was great!

Late night am radio in the 60’s and 70’s was fantastic.

WLS in Chicago, KOMA in OKC, KAAY in Little Rock for music

KDKA in Pittsburgh, WCCO in Minneapolis, WJR in Detroit, KMOX in St. Louis WSB in Atlanta for baseball

Wish Henriquez was still here. I think he'd be pretty handy in a bit.

To me he looked 100 percent more useful than Thielbar
