Amen brother! I will be happy to eat my words, but have seen enough of this front office and Rocco to not expect anything more than what is happening now…. just sucks!

I'd give 2 thumbs up to this comment, if I could.

The Rocco bashing is so tedious. Come up with something better. A good manager maybe adds 5 wins to a team in a season. The manager isn't the problem with this team. It's the players.

The Rocco ***kissing is so tedious. Come up with something better. A bad manager costs maybe 5 games a season.

As big a fan as I am, I’m almost hoping for a complete meltdown that forces the organizational enema that would eventually restore some entertainment to Target Field.

"Organizational enema." Ouch. I guess I like the old term: rebuild.

But I agree.

We've given this staff, this approach and this philosophy every chance to turn this club into a winner. We got a couple of playoff wins, which were great and fun and mostly against an bad postseason Blue Jays team. We're not at the end of the road, but it's in sight. This team chronically underperforms. It's uninspiring Twins baseball 75% of the time. No more.

Why not? He is pitching great right now. Great results. Why not try something different and go with the hot hand instead of the just off the IL pitcher getting bombed? With no control. Throwing the ball away.......

I will positively agree with you that he is pitching well at the moment, and concede the fact that I  generally feel the same. Ride the hot hand until it bites ya.

It’s frustrating because Thielbar has the stuff (from the left side) to absolutely be in that situation. Seems like he (as all of our pitchers YTD) are missing middle-middle. He has some nasty stuff but is not locating. No excuses and it’s difficult not to be discouraged but until they’re realistically buried, I’ll keep watching :/

In one respect, Falvine is limited by the Pohlads with a less than ideal budget. I would say the problems we are in are 75% Cheap A.. Pohlad for keeping his money under his pillow and 25% Falvine for the HORRIBLE management of the money they do get. The acquisitions and "trade" they did do before the season were questionable at best. A terrible roster construction.  If I were Falvine, I would leave the keys on the desk and get the He... out of town.

Question. Where do you think the 6-12 Twins would be with Lewis? 3 games better? Playing .500 baseball.  That's kinda what they hovered around last year until they pulled away at seasons end

With Lewis, they're probably at .500 or a game or two over. Baseball gods not just frowning in the Twins but also smiling on the Indians and Royals. I don't think anyone anticipated them playing this well. It's early but a 7 game hole isn't inconsequential and it is just looking like one of those years.

I think Thielbar is washed. Great teammate and local product but right now, he shouldn't be taking up a roster spot with Funderburk and Okert in the pen. Using him last night is on Rocco. But he shouldn't even have the option.

Weird rationale. So why do teams fire managers?

They need more talent.  Losing Lewis should not bring the whole team down.  Having  Polanco, Arraez and Berrios on the team would make it much better.
