Yeah, Gray didn’t seem his sharpest, but he got the outs he needed, including a quick fifth that got him the sixth. He also had a couple close calls that didn’t go his way and that extended some innings. Balazovic was outstanding.

Sox send a total of 10 to the plate in the 8th and 9th…the batter who had PA in both innings being Robert. Don’t score.

It would have been a tough game to let get away, given that three of those four base runners were weak grounders that happened be in the right spot.

Who knows where Balazovic is without the DP from Anderson…with Robert and Jimenez to follow? Credit to him for getting it, though. But to me, it still feels like his results so far are kind of a house of cards. Hope I’m wrong.

Gray continues his long winless string. As his IP attest, he doesn’t go as deep as Ryan or López, which figures in and he’s had pretty poor luck with run support.

If the Twins put up 3 runs and he "wins"  2 ER thru 6 innings shouldn't be chastised.   If the boys scored 5 in the 1st line last night are we taking about Sonny's "winless streak?"

Ryan went 6 last night, gave up 4 ER and got the win. Lopez and Ryan on average get a whole 1-1.5 outs more than Sonny.
