The problem, boys, wasn't Jeffers missing a nasty slider on strike 3.

The problem was not putting in play strikes 1 and 2, both mistake fastballs pretty near middle middle.

Exactly.  These guys mess up and then have to battle back, hitting the pitcher's pitch, or not barrelng up the good pitch to hit.

Dick: "Good read by Lewis." Uh, Dick, there were two outs. Everybody runs.

Not to mention had there been zero or one outs, it would have been a terrible read.

It's like ordering a nice steak and eating the outside fatty cut, hoping to save the best cut for last, only to fill up and leave the best cut on the plate or bring it home for the dog.

Gray getting the borderline calls from the ump. Kikuchi, not. As a Twins fan that's OK. As a baseball fan, that's not.

It's neat you can tell that from 1000 miles away.

The one after the balk seemed like an "I'm sorry" call. He had to call the balk, but clearly it was an accidental slip. Maybe the umpire felt sorry for him and gave him the strike on a ball that was three inches low.

Oh, well that's OK then.

I maintain that Garlick isn’t really a MLB player. And here he is, flailing away in the 3 spot while AK watches.

Kirilloff is our best current hitter. The manager should have the best current hitter in the lineup. That is all.

Correctly maintained.

Every single LH hitter should be dropping that bunt down if the other team abandons 3rd base. So ridiculously simple, and fool proof. It's a hit or a foul ball, every time. It doesn't even need to be a good bunt. In fact, the harder the better. A hard bunt might be a double.

Jays just schooling us on bunt execution.

Regrettably, we are terrible students...

Maybe if CC swings harder and/or more wildly.
Don’t these guys use video to analyze their swings? He looks completely out of control most of the time.
