Yup, fits the pattern for TJS. Alcalá seemed to be up and down on the velo and breaking ball sharpness. I wouldn’t count on him throwing another pitch for the Twins. All speculation, of couse.

Alcala reported to have a stress fracture of the radial bone. It sounds like he will be out for a while.

I posted this in the other thread. It sounds like they aren’t sure what to do about this and that alone makes me wonder if this is season-ending for him, hopefully not career-ending, but I am concerned about that given his injury history to date. Some bodies do not hold up under the rigor

Hoping for the best for Alcala, but sounds like that's it for the season for him. Such a shame. I was hoping he could rebound this year and be an important part of the bullpen.
