Fun:

- Aaron Hicks and Adam Dunn are tied for last in BA among qualified MLB batters (.137).

- Jeff Keppinger (who some advocated for as an MI option this off-season) is the only qualified MLB batter without a single walk. He is also last in OPS by 68 points, trailing one rookie-CFer named Aaron Hicks.

- The White Sox, at a lowly 9th in the AL, have generated 46% more strikeouts than the Twins (last in AL). The Pale Hose team ERA is 2nd in the AL at 3.40.

- The White Sox are last in the AL in team OPS at .650. Only Alex Rios is above the AL average of .733.

Keppinger is having a fascinating season. He's walked to the plate 125 times now, and hasn't drawn a single walk. That's amazing.

One of those rarest of rarities: his OBP is lower than his BA.

At least he has 2 XBHs, so his SLG is .016 higher than his BA. Take away those two doubles and he'd be pulling off quite a feat: OBP < BA while SLG = BA. My search skills are primitive at best, so I don't claim this as fact, but I can't find anyone in MLB history who has pulled that double play off for 100+ PAs.

If I still had my B-ref subscription I'd run one of their super-awesome season-finder queries to see what the highest amount of PA's were to achieve that, but I'm a cheap bastard and quit renewing it.

The Twins had a legitimate chance to go 6-1 this past week. Extra inning losses to the Red Sox and Orioles could have very easily been wins, which I look at as an encouraging sign. If they can take 4 of 6 from Chicago and Boston this week, that would be a really solid few weeks of ball.

.

Hey, Hicks's got the average, he's got the strike outs, he's got the walks, all you add is the home runs and you've got an Adam Dunn with speed.

Liam Hendriks has been placed on the disasbled list at Triple-A Rochester due to a sore right elbow.

It could explain his struggles this season, as Hendriks holds a 5.53 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over five Triple-A starts. It's not clear at this point how long he'll be sidelined.

Early troubles turn into often troubles.

I feel bad for Pedro... It's looking like he needs to consider Restaurants choices in Rochester, Scranton, Syracuse, Buffalo and others.

A fine start for Hernandez!

Welle he did strike out Adam Dunn, then again, everyone does.

Sometimes I wonder if Dunn would have the same K percentage if he hit Blindfolded.

Is this the Game Thread?

I get confused sometimes... I might have went into the West Brom discussion thread by mistake.

c'mon that ain't fair... It's not like it was his first hit of the year.

Yeah... Let's see how excited you are about Florimon in July.
