Just as I type that, Duensing got a called strike to Saltalamachia that was way, way more outside than the ball four pitch to the previous batter. What's going on?

Gladden isn't into nuance in about the same way that Sasquatch isn't into public appearances, but even he was Lombo-punchin' mad about the strike zone tonight.

The RH/LH mismanaging continues. Now I know the Twins don't have another lefty besides Perkins to pitch to Drew, but it is likely only a 4-2 ball game if Gardenhire would have just settled for getting TWO outs from the Ortiz matchup with Duensing.

Not Bremer's best game: he called Pedroia Ellsbury twice. He got Andrew Baily and Andrew Miller mixed up, didn't know where Breslow played last year and (I think) misremembered Breslow's stint with the Twins. He was with the Twins for most of one season and then lost on waivers the next season.

I like Fien, but he needs to pitch better in these high-leverage situations or he's going to be in Rochester.
