Can his defence improve enough to where the twins feel comfortable having him at 2b full time? I think he has answered those questions.

I agree. Rosario has now played >150 games at 2B, compared to about 130 in the outfield.

Rosario 1-4/double/BB/2R/SB(4)/E(7) Friday night

.296 in AA, 13 doubles matches his FTM total in 4 less games.

I don't know if the numbers back up what I've observed, but one thing about Eddie is that his power tends to get sapped early on during his promotions. It tends to come back a bit later. I'm not sure I think he should be starting in MN next year. I'd like to see him get some significant time in Rochester before he makes the jump. It will be interesting what they do if Dozier's improvement of late is the real deal. It will be a nice problem to have if it is.

Exactly. With Brian Dozier looking great at 2B and steadily improving at the plate, there is absolutely no reason to bring up Eddie Rosario. Send him to a full season of AAA finishing school before he even gets a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, give Dozier the extended shot he has definitely earned.

The last 10 games have not been good to Rosario

.158, 6-38 with a couple of doubles. Been dropped down in the order.

.274 AA season now, OBP is .333

Only encouraging sign is 6 walks in the past 10 games.

You watch. Rosario will hit at every level. Especially the majors. He will be a steady Twins contributor for quite a few years.

He's a top 60 prospect in baseball for a reason. You are not exactly going out on a limb here. ;)

Huge Friday night for Rosario, through 7 innings, 4-4/2 doubles(17 in AA, 30 on the year) and a solo HR.

Does this kid project to be a contender for future batting titles? Or is he more of an all-around guy with a mixture of pop and average?

He's Manny Machado lite. I think right about .290 with 10 homers and 35+ doubles a season for him.

I think Rosario can be as good a hitter at the MLB level as cano if he continues to perfect his swing.

I'd be shocked if he averaged 24 HR and 44 doubles per season. In fact I'd be shocked if he had even 1 season matching that. That's not to say it couldn't happen but I would be a happy camper!

I think doubles could show up, but 24 HR is a lot. He has power, but I think he's going to be more of the 15-20 HR power over his career, but he should do it with a high average. Though I've noticed as he's moved up the ladder that the power seems to be the last thing that comes back.

Rosario is playing left field tonight in the AFL. Has he played in the outfield in the previous games? Does this mean anything?

If you check out the Podcasts (#2 specifically), Jeff Smith, Manager of the Desert Dogs and Twins Organizational guy talks about Rosario playing some 2B as well as the corner OF positions. He also mentions Max Kepler at 1B and is impressed with both of them.

He says that the Arizona Fall League is comparable to a 'high' AA type of competition.
