Instead of listening to the total nonsense of Baldelli's postgame comments, I thought I'd rant here.

As much as Colome should get blasted (rightfully so) for his horrible performance-------this game was LOST in the 6th inning by our laid back---"lets trust the process" manager.  Couldnt tell on FSN if Baldelli had anyone warming up to start the top of the 6th----he should have with Shoemaker at 80+ pitch count, but he should have.  After Seager solo shot, I did see Dobnak up.  I really have to WONDER what Baldelli's thinking was for keeping Shoemaker in AFTER 2-strike double that missed being another HR by a few feet??  Shoemaker had pitched great, but he's an older guy coming off another injury season and more importantly, his pitch count was now in mid 80s!! By this time, Stashak was up in pen with RH batter, Torrens up. GO GET HIM ROCCO!!!  But noooooooooooooooo, lets leave Shoemaker in.  Torrens rifles a single to LF...on an 0-2 count,  to put runners on 1st and 3rd with no outs.  Well.....now you have to go hook him. Right??  Well, obviously, I'm "not trusting the process," so Baldy leaves Shoemaker in to pitch to Trammell...who homered yesterday.  Who else was SCREAMING at this time?? I've got to think anyone with a brain!!  So Baldy sits back and watches Trammell hammer a 3-run bomb to RF to cut lead to 6-4.  Absolutely stupid decision.  I won't waste my time on other subjects------namely our offense totally tanking for 2nd straight game (2 hits total over late innings yesterday and today) and Colome's meltdown----------this game--- plain and simple should have been won!  For those who say--oh so what---its only the 9th game of the year------its April-------chill out-------I say----shut up!  Every game counts. EVERY GAME!!  No way Twins should've lost either of these last 2 games.  This should've been a sweep against a poor team with little if any offense and not much pitching.  With Boston coming in with hot hitters these next 4 games couid get very ugly.  Thanks a lot Rocco for totally wrecking my day.

Jeffers getting a real pass from the fans for his very poor start of the season..... unlike Garver.....

Both catchers aren't lighting it up at all.  What it looks like for Jeffers as a patient hitter this year compared to last year is he would not miss on the pitch that he wanted in the at bat.  Not always a hit but wasn't worried about 2 strikes on him.  This year he is getting that pitch and hitting foul balls with it. Not as comfortable as last year but not to worried, still seems to being seeing the strike zone fairly well.  Had I think a 7 -8 pitch at bat and grounded out.  As for Garver, swing still seems a bit slow compared to years past, almost like he does't want to over swing and hurt himself.  When your catchers are a combined what .160 or so avg and you are still in ballgames with 3 guys carrying the load, things could be a whole lot worse than 5-4 with 3 of the 4 really bad blown games by bullpen. Long season, guys will come around.  Polanco is sucking wind and Cave is Cave, nice bench player for spot duty but a starter every couple days, would think his number is up soon
