jud6312 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I'm really curious what Rogers has to do to lose Rocco's confidence.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I think Rogers should be left off of the playoff roster, he is consistently bad
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 actually this is who he is. His success closing was more of a fluke Gonna push back a little bit. He's been pretty dominant the past three years regardless of his role. He has a solid K rate and throws hard. He typically has solid control. I mean he is a good pitcher, just having a tough year. Outside of his rookie year and this year, he hasn't had a year with an ERA above 3.10. He just looks like he lost his confidence this year. That was a dirty pitch there.

jun Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 He almost walked in another run, luckily the hitter chased the pitch way outside. He probably did not care about that runner on 3rd base.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Bottom line is the bullpen needs Rogers to be confident and get back to trusting his stuff. The bullpen is better with Romo not closing. Not saying that Rogers should be closing games right now; should be Duffey.
SF Twins Fan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 No reason Rogers should be on the playoff roster. He’s been terrible this season.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Now they probably let him pitch to Moustakas
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Rogers was lucky to get out of that. I could feel us Twins Daily posters ready in anticipation to curse out him out if he gave up more runs.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I think we're at the point where Rogers should only be used when we're losing. He's giving up too much hard contact and nearly blew this one. If Votto didn't swing at ball 4 we might have a different ballgame here.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Sox 9-5, should have put them away when we had the chance
jud6312 Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Despite the two Ks, I still have zero confidence in Rogers. At this point, he's the mop-up guy in the playoffs. This isn't bad luck as some want to claim, this is a bad season. Not saying he won't get it back next year, but he's been bad this year.

SS MagicMark Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 The double train keeps chugging along.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I'm thinking it but I'm not going to post it.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 DelScanfini kinda stinks. Gotta get a couple more runs.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 That's the mark of a really good pitch. Yeah, that was an A+ pitch.
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I'm really curious what Rogers has to do to lose Rocco's confidence. He probably won't lose it today because Rocco will only see the two outs and not the two runners left on base. Rocco is really great at motivating his players with his confidence in them but this can also be somewhat of a flaw. Sometimes I feel he is just wants to be too nice to them and holds on to clearly slumping players.
jun Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 That's the mark of a really good pitch.Well that's a Sano swing. Swing at anything without thinking.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Good job Ehire!!!!!

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Good eye Max!!!!!
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Well that's a Sano swing. Swing at anything without thinking. Except Votto has been a perennial MVP candidate and granted he is at the tail end of his career, he's still the best hitter on the Reds.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Twins are probably gonna need two wins to get the division
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 ARRAEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 It was only a matter of time that the White Sox won a game... let's just win these final two and be done with it.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Can you believe that from Arraez? A wimpy single.
