Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Thanks to the Cubs for putting on the contact play on that grounder. We appreciate the generous gift.
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 That play at the plate looked challengeable to me.I thought that too at first but on replay you could see that the tag was on Contreras' leg before he reached the plate. Good job by Donaldson.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 These in-game interviews are not adding to the viewing experience.
wabene Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Donaldson seems to be rounding into shape could be handy
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 These in-game interviews are not adding to the viewing experience.Especially that they interviewed Happ while he was playing the outfield. I don't know if I would like being distracted by an interview when balls are flying at me.

DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Mutter mutter...Is every espn game blacked out for the entire country on mlb? Sigh. I did not reckon with this when i splurged an mlb membership.Does ESPN cover playoffs?I shall be put out.Yeah, I have the game on in my bedroom upstairs, but running errands and doing stuff so I have my phone on the radio broadcast.

DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 What's up with Max, though? Every hitter can have a slump, even a lengthy one. But how you can turn from one of the best defensive right fielders in the league to the one making the plays we saw lately is beyond me.May or may not have been ready to come back when be did. Obviously his timing is off. On the radio broadcast now, so taking solace in the fact they commented he is hitting the ball bard tonight vs soft contact and pop ups. So he's getting his timing down?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Need more 7 pitch innings from this guy
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Looks like we're getting good Berrios. Hopefully we can see this version of him in the playoffs.
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 What an inning... Very efficient.

Has certainly looked more comfortable at the plate tonight.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 BTW...just Kinda checking in. Both pitchers dealing, but Twins have the lead. Just have this feeling the Twins are ready and primed for another couple runs soon. Anyone else feeling the same?

DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 OK...I'm going to take partial credit for that! Lol

stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Four runs off Darvish. That is pretty good. Moved his ERA over 2.
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Excellent use of the anti-jinx!I am always glad when a slumping Twins player proves me wrong like that.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Need more 7 pitch innings from this guy And from everyone else on the staff for that matter.
dougd Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Mutter mutter...Is every espn game blacked out for the entire country on mlb? Sigh. I did not reckon with this when i splurged an mlb membership.Does ESPN cover playoffs?I shall be put out.Yes, every ESPN or FOX, etc game blacked out for mlb subscribers. For the Fox game you couldn't even get the condensed game the next day. It appears there will be no in-game video highlights tonight. The playoffs were never going to be part of the mlb subscription. I doubt there will be an option to purchase streaming rights to the playoffs tho you get it "free" if you have ESPN etc on cable. A few years ago you could purchase playoff video from centerfield on mlb, which was slightly better than nothing.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 I am always glad when a slumping Twins player proves me wrong like that.Slumping Twins--1) Kepler, 2hits, 2 runs, 3 RBI 2) Polanco double 3) Gonzalez double 4) Two hits and a walk 5) Sanó, well not everyone can break out at once.
wabene Verified Member Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Good crisp game. Taking down an "ace". Berrios looking good. Likey
