gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Wow. Trout, Pujols and Hamilton. Could score a few runs if they stay healthy. Angels To Sign Josh Hamilton: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Them Angels always come out of nowhere.
old nurse Verified Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Can't be outdone by the Dogers
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The Angels have to turn their attention to the pitching mound now or this signing won't help things like they would like.
AllhopeisgoneMNTWINS Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Being stationed right outside of LA, I cant wait to go to some Angels games next year. Wow...this is absolutely ridiculous.
glanzer Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Somehow I don't think the Athletics are going to surprise everyone and win this division again next season. Or the Astros or Mariners. Or Rangers, probably.
johnnydakota Verified Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The rich get richer and the Twins get Correia
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The rich get richer and the Twins get Correia I doubt this tops the Correia signing but it's close.
AllhopeisgoneMNTWINS Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The rich get richer and the Twins get Correia Nice one. I literally just laughed out loud to myself.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The Red Sox have signed Ryan Dempster to a two-year, $26.5 million deal, reports FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal. Related: Red Sox Source: Ken Rosenthal
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Angels need pitching now. Too bad they can't pry Correia away from the Twins for Trumbo. TRyan in the signing article on the Twins site, noted having a dozen wins was important and that they had a number of eyes on Correia. Those eyes ought to find another line of work.
CDog Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 5/125 As seems to be the norm...did not see him getting that much. Yikes.

Twins Fan From Afar Verified Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 The ESPN article on the signing quotes the Rangers' GM saying that Hamilton didn't -- as the sides previously had agreed -- give the Rangers a chance to meet/exceed the Angels' offer. Kind of interesting.
Gernzy Verified Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I've heard the Angels are maybe going to move Trumbo. The Twins should go after him.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 According to Buster Olney of ESPN.com, the Angels are telling teams that Mark Trumbo is not available. The Angels will probably have to get rid of someone in order to clear enough playing time in the outfield for Josh Hamilton, who agreed to a five-year, $125 million free agent contract on Thursday. But Trumbo has exceptional raw power and Anaheim doesn't want to lose that. Source: Buster Olney
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I've heard the Angels are maybe going to move Trumbo. The Twins should go after him. Sure. Who do they trade? This is a huge problem. Twins depth in the org is so bad, they can't make a deal for a slugger like this.

Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 No one wants Vernon Wells and his bloated contract. They'll really have to eat some salary for someone to take him.
Kwak Verified Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Me thinks TEX will be desparate for hitting--especially LH with "some pop". Could be a trade?
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Tx will probably chase Swisher now.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Let's start the Correia for Trumbo rumors now... heck, we can even throw in Duensing to sweeten it up.
