Brett Anderson throws 74 MPH knuckle curve near the middle of the plate for first pitch strike. Every single Twins player takes the called first strike. Silly?

Twins won’t win a pennant without trading for a starting pitcher *ducks*

Who knows what the rust level will be, but Pineda is available in 15 games.

Perhaps they will start the clock on Duran or Colina, possibly Poppen/Gearrin again/Sam Clay?

Gearrin might be a better choice for now.

I'm much more concerned about an offense that hasn't been anything special for weeks now, than I am about Thorpe. Thorpe has no important role, and wasn't expected to.

Twins pitching is the reason they're in first place.

I do agree with the above, though...unless they add a pitcher to the top of the rotation, its hard for me to imagine a long post season.

Anderson really likes to throw his knuckle curve for first pitch strike, doesn't he? Every Twins player takes the called first strike.

The offense is an enigma. It was natural for there to be a regression from last season, but I didn’t expect it to be this rough. 4 runs seems to be the norm these days

Anderson's first pitch is either changeup or knuckle curve, it's low in the strike zone. Sometimes it's near the middle of the strike zone.

The Twins' hitting coach needs to be canned. Offense has looked so stale this season. Going from one of the best offenses of all time to this. Something needs to change.

The current hitting coach has never coached in the MLB before this. The highest level he coached was A ball. Another front office failure.

7 runs down, we have 38 pitchers on staff, and Adrianza is pitching?

Right? Ya gotta show the fans who paid for tickets and stuck around that you care a LITTLE bit...

The Brewers made a pitching change while up by 6 with one out to go; doesn't seem like they were taking anything for granted. I know the difference in these approaches didn't actually matter and never was likely to matter. Just interesting to note the difference.

Pinch hitting Kepler for Buxton after pulling Cruz, giving up the DH, and having a position player pitch seems like an odd, though slight, pivot back toward trying to win the game.

Sorry, my battery hit low, and i got distracted.

What i miss?

I see 2 runs inthe 9th, so i am glad we didn't entirely go silently into that fair night...

That is... 2 games we been down by more than 3?
