Target Field Ranked #7 in MLB in Craft Beer Offerings

Even at #7, we're only 4th in our division.  Tigers are #11. The "Brewers" are only #10.

 

The bottom three are interesting: Dodgers, Yankees and Blue Jays. Only one I've been to is Dodger Stadium, and I have to agree with the panel of 100 beer drinkers.

 

The only park I really know well is Coors, and it's a very disappointing place for beer, considering what is on offer generally in Denver.

 

Sounds like we'd be ranked higher based on quality of beer, but the accessibility of the best beer in the park isn't as good as some others. Rankings are based on Top Beer, Average Beer and Accessibility.

 

They love the Surly. I'm hoping to get back to MN for a game this summer. Can't wait to try (at my age, borrow) some Surly!

Cabin Daze from Big Wood Brewery out of White Bear Lake ... Put it on your list.  Not sure if it will be at Target Field, but if you'll be in the area anyway ......

Honestly, a Mich Golden/Coors/etc is delicious on a hot day in the sun. I love IPA’s but not in those conditions. I have imagine Petco Park offers at least one nationally distributed lite beer.

If hot weather and IPA’s don’t mesh with one’s palate, a local Belgium, saison, kolsch, sour or radler should do the trick. If it really has to be a “light” beer Lupulin’s Apricot Blonde or the readily available Castle Danger Cream Ale should suffice if absolutely necessary.

To each their own my friend. I don’t mind mixing in some of those other beers too but they also cost an extra dollar or two for a beer that is already overpriced.

Yeah they’re all pricey at the game; in fact last year I think I abstained from beer at the park and instead visited the nearby breweries before and after the game.

Modist, Fulton, and Inbound are all within a very easy walk and I have enjoyed their products. Clockwerks is close too, but I've never been there.

Why the ballpark can't get the local breweries on a tap is what is most remarkable. They are missing a big marketing opportunity both ways.

Clockwerks was only OK, but I haven't been there in three four years so perhaps they have better offerings. Number 12 Cider is on the way between Fulton and Inbound too, so if there's a less than avid beer drinker in your group, it's a good pitstop as well!

 

There's also a new one right next to the the cider place, ONE Fermentary? Terrible name, beer TBD.

I can attest to Rogers Centre in Toronto being a cesspool for bad beer. It's really too bad because Toronto and the surrounding region has some top rate craft breweries, Unfortunately most stadiums and rinks in Canada are often exclusively supplied by InBev due to the advertising dollars. 

 

Heading to Busch for the Cards home opener, looks like I'll have to wear some good kicks if I'm going to get some worthwhile beer.
