Game Thread 4/20/19 Double Header vs O's 3:05 and 6:05 CDT

[Don Walcott]

Whew! Now some insurance runs would be nice.

[Don Walcott]

Where’s Mitch?

Where’s Mitch?

One would assume he catches the night cap.

I hope so, but we have three catchers. Can’t see any reason not to pinch hit there.

You typically don’t remove your best defenders when you are ahead. Castro is still the best defensive catcher the Twins have.

[Don Walcott]

Rogers up for the 8th. Seems he only pitches in the 8th. I’m not seeing flexibility in using the bullpen much this year.

[h2oface]

Slidermania

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Nice job Dave!

I have given the "no schedule for game thread" issue much thought, and come up with a solution.

I've scheduled you for game thread duty for all remaining regular season games.

You're welcome.

John Henry was a steel drivin' man...

How's the rest of the game thread intro go?

[Don Walcott]

That’s possible. Though I’m not convinced Castro is that much better than the other two. Looks like we weren’t going to hit that guy anyway.

[Don Walcott]

Chris Davis with two hits in one game? Yeesh!

Geez louise this bullpen never makes it easy, do they....

[wsnydes]

Umm...what are you talking about?

Let's me show what I said. Didn't get me wrong. Ok?

http://www.brooksbaseball.net/velo.php?player=621244&time=month&startDate=03/30/2007&endDate=04/20/2019&s_type=2

April in 18': Fourseam was 94.07 mph

April in 19': Fourseam was 92.73 mph

92.73 mph is his career LOW in any month.

Actually, this is what you said:

"Jose Berrios velo is down this year. Wes Johnson can't teach anything.

(From 93.2 mph to 92.1 mph"

Fastball isn't mentioned at all. Just a velo.

At any rate, it's still early in the season.

[Don Walcott]

Good thing Eddie held that guy to a single. Let’s get out of this, Taylor!!

[h2oface]

Come On pen! Do your job!

Thank goodness!

[Don Walcott]

Nice!!

[h2oface]

I guess 73 degrees is still too cold for these guys.

[Don Walcott]

Wonder who we’ll bring in for the ninth?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Fan base:What happens if Taylor Rogers struggles?

Front office: Well, ah, ...

Fan base: oh, and who is our sixth starter, if one of them goes down?

Front office: ...

Not too late to make some transactions

Good job Mr. Rodgers, getting out of that- and EDDIE keeping the hitter on 1st. and loving Kitty Kaat in the booth!!

Marvin seems lost ? Hope la -tortuga starts at 3b next game

[h2oface]

Gonzales only likes to swing at slider OUT of the zone.

[ashbury]

C'mon Rosie, what have you done for us lately?

[Hosken Bombo Disco]
