ashbury Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 LETS GO!!!!!!!3 top of the first runs? I'd say we're underway.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Dick said they'd "get into the story about Kepler in a minute" but I didn't hear them address it. Can someone fill me in if they mentioned something?
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Checking in from Camden, here for the nightcap with my two younger sons (after afternoon Little League). Beautiful night for some baseball, and a nice start to the game. Now if Schoop can make Baltimore regret not resigning him....
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Well, a double, anyway.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 It's easy to get spoiled by good outfield defense. I thought for sure that drive by Schoop would be caught. Pretty bad route by their RFer. I think either Kepler or Buxton would have reached that one. (Well, not Kep today, but you know....)

bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 If it needs a story, I’m worried. Kepler's got a tummy ache, says Phil Miller.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 I was just about to rant about Garver not being a leadoff guy. Shall I rant anyway? ? ?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 How lucky are we that we avoided Alex Cobb. Yikes.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 I was just about to rant about Garver not being a leadoff guy. Shall I rant anyway? ? ?By all means! Your rants draw raves.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Kepler's got a tummy ache, says Phil Miller.I liked the first version better Also, when in Baltimore, watch where you get your crabcakes
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Lookin' good so far. Need to get these games against the Orioles!!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 I liked the first version better Also, when in Baltimore, watch where you get your crabcakesAlso when in Boston be careful where you get scrod.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 A 3:05/6:05 schedule is really really weird for games that sell individual tickets. Single pay double header........ for this one. Like the old days.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 I liked the first version better Also, when in Baltimore, watch where you get your crabcakes Apparently Parker's also got the bug, but if you're watching the game you just heard that.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Ladies and gentlemen, the Room Service Double Play!
Blake Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 I was just about to rant about Garver not being a leadoff guy.Shall I rant anyway? ? ?Wait, you're under the impression that rants should have some basis in reality? Wow, have I been doing it wrong.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 The booth guys mentioned Wilbur Woods, and I was like who, and I came across this article; neat story.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Single pay double header........ for this one. Like the old days. Around the year 2000, I went to a Monday double-header in Milwaukee at old County Stadium, it was against the Astros. Both teams were in the NL at that time. It was a sparse crowd to be sure. Tickets were $1 dollar, included both games. So my Minnesota math tells me that was .50 cents a game. All my savings went to refreshments, if memory serves....
Blake Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Home run, double...half way to the cycle, there, Mr. Cruz.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 So nice to have a proven hitter you can count on every single night
