notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 If it suddenly starts raining and the game does not resume, is it another walk-off? God hates us. We'll have to ride this out to the bitter end.
big dog Verified Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I am at a point where I just absolutely hate seeing Hildenberger come in the game. I blame Molitor.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Ha, Gorg, "The Twins thought they had this win in their back pocket a half hour ago." What would possess anyone to believe that?

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 And Grossman has been our cleanup hitter for the past three weeks and he is arguably our best hitter (aside from Astudillo the Great). That is absurd.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Hildenberger has been square pegged intoa round hole by PM. He can still be an solid 6-8 inning guy. Just stop trotting him out there darn near every night like he was Sparky Lyle.

Crackedfungo Verified Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Stewart is worth keeping as a starter. Lots of movement and little hard contact. When he has command and control, he is a pretty solid pitcher. Needs more work on consistency. Does NOT give up HRs
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Slegers was activated from the DL? Good for him.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 Bert is slowly getting phased out as he plays more and more golf each year, but I think he is going to get to go out on his terms. I don't see Dick getting replaced any time soon. And to be honest, as bad as Dick can be at times, he has a voice that is easy to listen to and the prospect of replacing both of our broadcasters in one go would worry me, because there are a lot of play by play guys who make Dick seem like Vin Scully by comparison. Granted, there are a lot that would be significantly better too but Dick always seemed pretty middle of the road to me in terms of broadcaster quality. I think if our team was halfway decent we'd all be too busy enjoying baseball to have any significant qualms with him, but it is frustrating when we're playing like trash and him and Smalley are trying to make Wilson or someone seem like some fantastic player. Basically, Dick is a guy who is perfectly passable when we're doing ok, but is never going to shake things up or be anything beyond a homer when we're stinking it up.He is paid by the Twins, pretty sure they don't want him shaking things up, that would probably be the quickest way to getting fired.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 I’m sorry I just hit the wall with Dick n Bert. After many years of dealing with the same inane comments and homer orientation I can’t take it anymore. Bert has to go and Dick should go as well. Thanks to all for dealing with my rantHawk just retired in Chicago, he might be available.
